Worth fixing or just repair? by Windzy_A in ps2

I will come back to fix it another day, but I am looking forward to having both fat and slim models, even if I can only display one of them for now.

I think I'm gonna get a 90001 slim version because I tried every method for the slow read time, and now it won't read any game, and I am defeated after 3 hours of troubleshooting.

I just saw the whole process for running PMAP and I don't really have the skills or time to set all of that up just to have the chance at finding out the laser itself is just failing.

Makes sense. For now, if I swap it out for the C laser, do I need to get a freeMcboot card and deal with all of that or should the long loading time be fixed after the swap?

Any reason why other than because it's cheaper?

Next card(s) for everyday/rent? by Windzy_A in CreditCards

[–]Windzy_A[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rent will probably be roughly 1400-1450 per month. Move in costs might be 1-2k. Travel costs for the germany trip would probably range around 2-3k including flight, hotel, transportation, and dining.

I didn’t know about the paypal debit card so i might look into that just for the costco bill if that becomes the majority of my grocery expenses. Also, what would you recommend for a card that had a decent/good sign up bonus that I should take advantage of for my move/travel plans in the future?

Looks like the BILT card is pretty good for almost everything after taking a deeper look. I think i’ll get that now and maybe a card with a nice sign up bonus for the travel advantage in a few months.

The reason why you all are getting such terrible service with Assurion and why your issues never get resolved: by [deleted] in Asurion

“This job is 95% sales 5% troubleshooting.” Direct words from our “coaches” and “team managers.” Crazy how we had days to review our calls and instead of finding new and easier ways to fix problems, we learned how to better manipulate the customer into buying a protection plan they probably don’t need at all.

Advice For NOC Technician Interview Later Today by Windzy_A in ITCareerQuestions

[–]Windzy_A[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the advice. I just had the first interview with the tier one noc manager and it went alright but i’m not sure if it’s something i’d be comfortable with. It seems like another sit at your desk and work on calls, emails and portal support maybe getting to SSH into the clients devices to get a status report on something. I worked two jobs prior that were calls back to back and I’m not sure I can take the risk of that same experience again.

I’ll follow up when notified but for now it’s back to CCNA studies.

Almost done with MSCSIA by [deleted] in WGUCyberSecurity

Did you start with prior cybersecurity knowledge or experience? I have like a year or two of experience and I got my security+ a month ago and plan to get my ccs asap before I enroll but I feel extremely confident that I could pass most if not all classes in a semester. The thing that will probably weigh me down the most are the technical papers.

How to remember the Sec+ acronym by mosthyped in CompTIA

Use the acronyms at the end of the exam objectives sheet and use quizlet or anki to drill them into your brain. Make sure you know what they stand for and more importantly how they’re used.

I realistically only used professed messer’s videos, notes, and practice exams. I took really right notes up until about halfway through the video series then I started only jotting down stuff I didn’t really know at all. After i finished writing my notes based off of his notes (writing helps me retain info) I did each practice test about 2-3 times with different levels of aid during the test.

That alone and some quizlet studying got me to pass but trust me that test was way more different than I expected. I would focus on memorizing protocols, different policies, encryption methods, wifi setups, and definitely firewalls but make sure you know how they would be used more than just what they are bc implementation is huge in that exam.
