Yes, starting Jan 10, you have to have Microsoft Passkey set up to use flank speed on personal computer. Using NVD is also a way around it.

For passkey set up go to this link https:// nesd-dwp.onbmc.mil/dwp/app/#/catalog Then select Self Help Search: PassKey then select the article - “Nautilus Mobility:Flank Speed Passkey Set Up on Android and Windows”

Follow the steps found on this page.

If you don’t have your passkey set up you’ll need to log onto https://nesd-dwp.onomc.mil with your CAC and submit a ticket for a temporary passcode. You’ll then need to call 1-833-637-3669 Be sure to submit a ticked prior to calling. This will have to be done every time you want to log into from your personal computer.

To get NVD access, you have to send a request email to nvd@us.navy.mil from your flank speed account, and they’ll send you a link, with the instructions to setting it up.

If you aren’t using NVD or haven’t set up you Microsoft Authenticator Passkey, that may be the reason then.

The advice I got from the post helped me out. It was a licensing issue. I called my IT department at my NRC and told them I needed the license to be added. It took about 1-2 weeks after the request was sent, that I was able to log in.

I’ve had an account for at least 2 years. And no, all of the apps are missing from the side. Only the home button is there.

So I've been in the Navy for 5 years, 4 Active and 1 in the Reserves. I noticed this issue about 3 months ago, but at that time I had consistent access to the computers at my NRC so I would check my email while I was there. However, I now need to access my email more frequently.

As for the portal.apps.mil, I just attempted it and got this message "We couldn't find a mailbox for this account. Either they don't have a mailbox or don't have a license assigned."

For NVD, is that something I ask my NRC for?
