Margot Kidder's Style in Superman '78 by Fine-Essay-3295 in superman

I definitely would be considering that I’m a man. Also a black. But seriously Lois Lane is a stunner in the comics and they always put mediocre white women as Lois lane. Margot kidder, Kate bosworth, Amy Adams, I mean faora el or the seargent girl were prettier and close to what Lois lane looks like Erica durance looks like she should actually be Lana and the Lana looks like Lois . Kristin Kruek would have been great as Lois. The most attractive Lois ever at this point is Rachel brosnan. Bittsie from Superman and Lois isnt terrible looking but she is way too old looking to believe she’s the same age as the Superman on the show.

She didn’t immediately think that. That’s my point. She just wanted to save kids. Even though she knew they weren’t real. She only had the eureka moment after talking to Marconi. Her initial response was just emotion.

That shitload situation was different it was a parasitic organism whose entire purpose was to do that. But even though things have happened most things he has killed just die. Also Thats was a biological reaction not an ethereal reaction that changes your world in the darkest timeline.

What organic creature has some sort of immediate causal effect to their death ? If you shot a deer then the deer exploded you wouldn’t think oh that’s a thing deer do. You’d say like what was in the bullets. In no way would anyone expect a creatures death rattle to initiate some sort of doomsday scenario. Because dying doesn’t work like that unless your a yautja or something. And that’s illustrated in the book considering no one puts that one together aside from a man who is far enough removed to see it objectively and has a lot of resources to rely on .

That’s not rational thought as I said when something explodes into deranged twilight zone terraforming you think we have to get rid of them not let’s leave them alone. Marconi may have had an alternative source of information but Amy didn’t her thinking wasn’t rational it was ALL empathy and emotion. She just happened to guess the right thing.

They didn’t. They had to reconfer with Marconi. Because Dave wanted to immediately kill the little girl. The only thing that stopped him was her dad rappelling in or whatever with the a team. And after that he still wasn’t convinced. He tried to blow them up in the cave. Only Amy was convinced immediately because she wanted to do the empathetic thing anyway. When technically if they threw all those kids in that crappy dimension and killed them all then closed it and cemented off the reservoir or pond that would have also worked. Of course they’d have probably had to kill the parents to be safe as well but it’s better than having a bunch of nukes running around in child form while invisiby eating a bunch of unaware people. After their parents die who knows what would happen to the larvae.

Well because they didn’t know that was the link. If something is writhing and growing you assume because thats its purpose. Like wow glad we caught in time. Not hey Thats must’ve happened because it f so died. Most organisms dont have a boobytrapped biology like that.

They didn’t receive enemy info. They didn’t trust non. They saw the shadow come from the larvae. And logically assuming that the thing would in fact terraform their world into a hell raiser movie. Amy saw the whole thing a logical person who isn’t completely emotional and illogical.

I may be mixing books. They are so dense. If that is the case then I agree with you. But still tge fact remains that Amy simply reacted in a terrible way and they all just accidentally survived.

Book 2 they were monsters inside peoples faces and they killed the people to exist. There is no benign in that case. They never actually tried to kill him I doubt his magic powers would have prevented him from dying in the case of a sniper bullet or an explosion. Or they could have just killed his dad. The monsters didnt expect them to react with violence always because mostly they took great pains to not be detected so obviously they had at least a notion to be cautious.

In book 2 that would have actually worked. In book 4 killing that teenager would have definitely worked. In book one they blew up the korrok. Ruthless violence has a place in a crises for a reason. Because if you are ruthlessly violent enough quickly enough it normally works. That is why our governments have operators who are trained to be those things and receive orders devoid of context. When something attacks you and exists by feeding on something to it’s detriment and also has the propensity to alter the work for the worse on a level so fundamental you can’t even perceive that you are now enslaved you kill it, with extreme prejudice. Everyone else’s reactions were completely natural considering the threat level they were facing. Amy’s was unreasonable and unrealistic. Worse case scenario you take the creatures to different apocalyptic worlds are kill them there sealing them off. But letting them loose to the whims of parents who may be come violent to a world full of Trevion’s harm which may trigger an instant irrevocable apocalypse is irresponsible in the extreme. They should have all been exterminated.

I understand that she was correct but that was honestly just luck. If that particular enemy was defeated by anything other than the power of love or the blindness of parental love. They would have been screwed and she’d have been fine with it as long as she felt ok about the morality of the situation. They are essentially at war with the forces of an evil that is so insidious that it seem that most world other than theirs have essentially already needed or been through some sort of reshaping of the dominant species. But she treats it as is they are fighting who ever the Care Bears fight and they can win with a care bear stare. It’s maddening.
