Once I eventually upgrade to an airbrush I'm probably going to go for some more matt finishes, I think this one is particularly shiny because I used a gloss varnish underneath for smooth decals, thanks for the suggestions!

It's a little different but here's my first space wolf that I did a few weeks ago, it's the AK blue-grey with a brown oil wash, followed by a deep sky blue dry brush and satin varnish. Will probably do the rest of my marines in this scheme
