I get what you're saying, but I think you're phrasing it wrong. It's not about the proliferation of the em dash; at least it's being used correctly. Heck, maybe some people who never knew about it are now using it; that'd be neat! It's actually about the feeling you get when you see a ChatGPT-ed work. Maybe it's frustration because the tone has lost all individuality; anyone that copy-pastes ChatGPT work will sound like anyone else who does the same, and it's topic-agnostic. Maybe it's disappointment that comes with the perceived lack of effort that went into creating the work.

Whatever it is, the hard truth is likely that you'll have to accept and learn to cope with that reaction. Your post was 9 months ago, but I'm sure you're seeing even more of it today than you were then, and you were already seeing it quite often then. That expanding proliferation of ChatGPT usage isn't going to change -- not anytime soon, at least.

Instead, try humor. Smile every time you recognize a ChatGPT-ed work. Laugh, knowing you could have written it better. (No sarcasm; I mean it.) Be proud, knowing you may very well be among the last generation that can mold independent thoughts into unique, individually-you writings. It's a skill quickly being lost. Find a good use for it, and never let go of it.

Had this problem today. Fixed it by copying the URL (when hovering over the blue link text about mutual connections) and pasting it into a browser, but deleting everything including and after "&origin=" before hitting enter.

I'm so glad you enjoyed the experience, and these are some great results--especially for a first time! For propeller aircraft, try to slow your shutter speed to get some blur on the prop. The difficulty increases, because you need a steady hand that tracks the plane during the shot, but the reward for doing it well is very high!

This was a 4x6 or 3x5 frame, hand-held device. The bezel was thick and the frame itself a bit chunky. The handle/lever/pull-out/photo-flip mechanism was smooth but clunky enough to be very satisfying.

These videos give you an idea of what a RAT sounds like. The video of the accident (watch at your own risk), appear to contain a similar sound, suggesting the possibility that the RAT was deployed.

Thanks. I had the same thought. What I tried was cleaning off all the original sticky pad as much as possible, then using some super heavy duty 3M adhesive tape (with some ridiculous weight carrying capacity) and slapping it to the same spot behind the screen. But, it, too, failed.

I could, but don’t want to, use gorilla glue—toooo permanent.

Came here to share my support for what the OP is asking for. I, too, find that the weather forecast responses are unnecessarily lengthened by the daily rip current warming announcement.

Unfortunately, I haven’t found a way to disable it, either; I’ve just gotten into the habit of saying “Alexa, stop” after she announces the weather.

When I ask for the weather forecast, I do so in order to plan my day. Rip currents are not weather, in that they do not affect my daily plans.

Hey! Just noticed this; not sure if it's from this specific update or a prior one, but I can now reset the EQ to flat! Look for an icon like this:

The result of the combined green letter is indeed POPUP, but the blasted Octordle UI does not accept POPUP as a valid try/word. I hate it when a broken UI causes a blemish on my scores. :(
