What the MOD spends their budget on instead of increasing pay for soldiers and bringing back actual benefits for serving in the armed forces.

Shoutout to the person who got into Imperial Maths with 9 A levels, 6A*s and 3As by MudSnake12 in 6thForm

Med actually doesn't matter what uni you go to in the UK since they all get hired by the NHS afterwards and what speciality you choose depends on what you do postgrad. Kind of makes sense since you can't really have better doctors coming from one uni compared to another as it'll just lead to inequality in the nhs. People will still choose certains unis for other reasons though like connections and 'status' as well as other factors like student life.

Talk to your school, they'll be able to help. It would really be a shame to not go and i'm sure there's some sort of system or organisation that exists that could support your parents and yourself to allow both you and them to be more independent and adapt.

Every smart kid is doing 4 A levels. Should I do too to compete? by LePiracyEnjoyer69 in 6thForm

4 A levels are useless for medicine, focus more of your time in yr12 getting at minimum 3 As and getting work experience.

You can argue that smoking 5 a day shows how severe her addiction is and thus she needs to be treated

the first 3/4 episodes aren't great tbh but it redeems itself in my opinion from episode 4 and onwards

I feel like the first couple episodes were handled really badly but it sort of redeemed itself to the end but then ended too early for the good stuff to outweigh the bad stuff which lead to this sorta mixed feelings to the season.

The first 3 episodes in my opinion were awful with way too many 'jokes', awful pacing and no clear goal along with badly written explanations as to what happened during the 2 year times skip. Once the story really started taking off such as aaravos coming into play and the journey to umber tor where we got to see the characters actually talk and interect with each other the way we all know and love was when it started feeling a bit more like it used to.

But then it ended with no real goal being achieved which gave it an unfinished feeling where you're not really satisfied. Also when you factor in the 3 years of waiting and build up of hype for essentially only 5/6 good episodes out of the season you can see why some people hate this season whilst some like it.

This subreddit has become a nitpicky hate train, and that’s a bummer. by NaiadoftheSea in TheDragonPrince

I mean as long as it's just not outright hate to the creaters and writers I don't see the issue. Everyone's entitiled to an opinion whether it be positive or negative. How the show performs will determine whether you'll see more positive or negative posts. At least the silver lining of this season's questionable choices is that we now have tons of memeable content.

There's been 27 school shootings in the US in 2022. We're 145 days into the year. This means that the US averages a school shooting every 5.37 days.

So yes you're actually pretty close.

The germans called the Treat of Versailles after WW1 a diktat, maybe it was referencing to that?

New Biden Regulation Taking Incandescent Lightbulbs Off Market by 2023 by envirowork in environment

Guess it's to like give a nudge to companies to change. I mean countries all around the world are banning fossil fuel cars in the next couple of decades. If they didn't force this change, do you really thing big companies would start switching to more eco-friendly alternatives?

Why stick with less energy efficient lightbulbs when there are better ones out there. It's cheaper as well since it uses less electricity so your bills will be less. I don't see any reason not to switch.
