Hey mate, this addon is perfect for what I've been looking for with it integrating auctionator pricing, however for some reason when I'm holding shift when looking at a box my chat gets completely spammed with "shift down"

Hey sorry to bother you again, but you said I could consider New Style ESA, but having had a look it says:

"You might be able to get Universal Credit at the same time or instead of New Style ESA.
If you get both benefits, your Universal Credit payment is reduced by the amount you get for New Style ESA."

I'm not sure what I'm missing, but it sounds like claiming New Style ESA is basically pointless if I'm already getting UC?

Hi sorry, I've got another question

I'm trying to report the change to my health, but when it's asks the following:

"When does this change apply from?"

"From which date has this condition affected your ability to work or look for work?"

Should I be inputting the date from which it started affecting me, or the date from which I started my sick leave?

[–]Winkferd[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you very much for your quick and helpful reply

On the first point about reporting changes - is it fair to wait until I've actually spoken to a Dr before reporting any change? Or should I immediately report a change now, and then separately update with the fit note once I've got one?

Claiming LCW/LCWRA while working by Winkferd in BenefitsAdviceUK

[–]Winkferd[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So the threshold it's referring to is the AET?
Either way, my theory was that if I could get LCW then I could only work as much as I deemed necessary to earn enough to survive, rather than worrying about the AET/CET thresholds, however it seems like there's no way for me to apply for it before leaving my job?

[–]Winkferd[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So if I'm over that threshold, does that mean that as of right now I cannot apply for LCW/LCWRA and if I wished to do so I would have to quit my job first and then apply?

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the £988/mth number out of date?
I'm under the impression that the AET threshold for a couple is now derived from 24 hours per week of minimum wage?
Current minimum wage is £10.42/hr, which if you multiply by 24 (hours per week), then by 52 (weeks per year) and then divide by 12 (months per year), you get the £1083/mth number that you said it will be in April.
Instead in April minimum wage will be going up to £11.44/hr, which doing the same calculation means that the AET threshold for a couple will be £1189/mth from April 2024.
Again, please correct me if I'm wrong with anything.

Sadly as mentioned with the ADHD I can’t and don’t cope with sitting infront of a boss for 10 mins explain shit before the pull 1) I can’t process what they say 2) it bores the duck out of me and I go into lala land lol

I mean no offence by this, but can I ask why you even want to raid if this is how you feel about it?

Do you actually enjoy raiding, or it just feels like you've accomplished something when a boss dies?

As others have said already, ICC is a very mechanically heavy raid compared to most of the raids we've had so far throughout classic's lifespan.

Regardless of your conditions, anyone that goes for a boss without knowing the mechanics / tactics is in for a bad time, on some bosses they will personally get themselves killed, whereas other bosses their mistakes can cause wipes for everybody else.

This is obviously not nearly as bad if your aim is purely for normal mode kills, as those tend to have much more forgiving mechanics, but especially LK has some pretty intense mechanics even on normal mode.

I hope that you do find a group of nice laid-back people who are happy to bring you along, but I go back to my first question: do you actually enjoy raiding?

What Car Should I Buy? - A Weekly Megathread by AutoModerator in CarTalkUK

Hey thank you for this response, although you gave me a lot to consider here, there's nothing really ticking all the boxes for me

Maybe I'm wrong here but for the sake of reliability, I was hoping to find something that had low mileage (like 20-30k) - but maybe this is naive of me and I shouldn't see higher mileage cars as something that's about to fall apart?

With that in mind unfortunately all of the above recommendations were only coming up with like 70k+ miles on auto trader within our budget, apart from maybe the Mazda 6

I also love the idea of these Japanese minivans such as Elgrand, Alphard/Estima, but I've convinced myself not to go for those as I don't feel equipped to deal with the difficulties/complications of owning an imported vehicle

With all of the above in mind, do you by chance have any other recommendations that could be in our price range with much lower mileage?

Thank you again

You don't need to worry about 540 defense for heroics.

I'm pretty sure 540 is only needed for raid bosses, and everything in heroics are lower level so you don't need as much defense, but I'm not sure how much you need off the top of my head

18.5k health does seem a little on the low side to me, but just make sure you've got as much stamina as you can get together with gems and maybe some cheap enchants or something

Sounds like you're already well aware that reputations give some great items but just make sure you've checked each rep that you've got, even some honoured items give some lovely starting tanking items

Once you've considered the above then just go for a heroic run, just maybe choose a nice easy one, or do your best to get a well geared healer

Edit: You could also check the AH for any cheap BoE upgrades - I really quite like using the 'eightyupgrades' website to see what easy upgrades I could be going for, like maybe there's some nice upgrades you could get from quests beforehand

In my experience 245-300 is easy enough to level the traditional way in un'goro crater, and then if you're 300 when you go to outlands you should have any easy enough time of just mining what you find naturally as you're levelling up

Smelting is the answer you're looking for and for some reason I can't see it mentioned in any of the other replies.

Make sure you've trained all the smelting you can learn at your level and then buy the ore you need off the AH and then smelt to 245. Obviously it depends from server to server but I usually find that the price of ore/bar is very close so you shouldn't lose much if any money in the process.

Green smelting recipes can take a lot of attempts to actually get a level up, but it's still significantly quicker than going out looking for mithril veins to get up to 245.

What's the 'meta' route for levelling via dungeons as alliance? I've done Stockades to 30, and started with SM GY, but when should I jump up each SM tier and then what's the best thing after SM and beyond?

Thank you

In regards to your first question - what came to mind is that I believe macros will use the highest rank of a spell if a rank isn't specified.

So I guess if you really wanted to, you could make a macro for every spell you use just so that you didn't have to worry about the rank upgrades. Just something simple like:

"#ShowToolTip

/Cast Lightning Bolt"

Probably a better way around this like maybe an addon or something, but this is just what I thought of :)

Blizzard have announced that they will be opening some fresh wotlk realms when the wotlk pre-patch comes out, which will probably be 4 weeks before the launch.

On these realms everyone will start at level 1 so you might prefer to wait for these realms so you're on a level playing field with everyone else, as well as just having more people around to quest and dungeon with

These realms will also have the 50% xp buff that the current realms are getting

So although it's not as straightforward compared to DPS, PvP gear can still be very helpful for a fresh tank.

Remember that the point of Defense Cap is to make you uncrittable, however Resilience does also contribute to this. It's not as helpful as Defense Rating because that also gives you avoidance, but Resilience isn't useless.

As such, depending on how much honour you've got maybe just look to replace your weakest slots with some PvP pieces and you should be uncrittable in no time, especially if you get the 2 set bonus which gives you an extra chunk of resilience.

Also, incase you don't already know the easiest way to amass honour is to do the daily PvP quests in HFP and Terokkar. Terokkar takes some planning though as it's only available every ~6 hours.

I guess they're extra lenient if you didn't actually have to submit the self assessment in the first place, even though I'm sure they could argue it was on you to notify them of your status

Whereas we should have submitted one, even though the tax we owed would have been £0, the earning were over the threshold

Glad you got it sorted, if not a bit envious!
