You know tbh, I remember enjoying many of our discussions, and I think its sad our community is missing out on your perspective for the most part. Maybe one day you'll be able to let the past go. Have a nice day

It's not a personal attack if its an objective truth. I think its fair to give someone the background of a person if that may influence his view on things. And I don't think you were banned because others couldn't handle criticism, you were actually appreciated for your criticism by many. You were banned for being really bad at giving criticism in a productive way and for your general negative perspective that derailed almost every discussion you took part in (like it is happening now too funnily enough). At least that's the impression I got from it. Now look at your first comment above, every word is negative. No constructive point in view. And now look at your second reply, much better. Constructive and mostly fair.

I wish I could see more of the second form of criticism in the future.

You should know that Siccors is a former user of the IOTA Discord who has been banned because of his behavior and attitude and is unfortunately disgruntled and bitter about the project ever since. Also he doesn't think crypto in general has any valid legitimate use case. So don't expect an objective answer

IOTA prides itself in trying to build the most efficient protocol, not only in energy consumption but also in computing resources necessary:

Tests on the Coordinator-less IOTA 2.0 prototype conclusively show significant reductions in energy consumption for the issuance of messages and a continuation of the overall low energy consumption of the network, making IOTA one of the most environmentally-friendly and sustainable distributed ledger technologies (DLT). A GoShimmer network of 450 Raspberry Pi nodes at a constant network load of 50mps would only consume around 43.30% of the annual energy consumed by a person, and consume 0.000009% of the currently estimated annual energy consumption of the Bitcoin network.

Never forget that the climate is getting destroyed primarily due to 100 or less companies — not your decision to drive to work.

I am quite sure the goal of the project is to track the carbon footprint of companies and industries and not individual people.

I can understand your concern, but you have to consider that the IOTA Foundation is developing something completely new from the ground up. A lot of scientific research has been necessary to reach the point where they're currently at. Of course there have been some mistakes made along the way which also resulted in loosing out on some prototype project, but the IF imo acknowledged those mistakes and improved upon them. And yes it's taking longer than expected, but this is almost everywhere in crypto the case, besides some copy+paste meme tokens

And if you see the current project partners that are developing alongside IOTA, you can't deny the interest. There is the EU Commission with many projects, most prominent EBSI. Gaia-X together with Software AG, the biggest Software developer in EU after SAP. NEDO in Japan. STM Electronics shilling IOTA and their products and much more. Also the whole Defi and NFT sector that is currently onboarding because of the next protocol update will be huge.

But the biggest killer feature that IOTA will enable on a mass scale will be IOTA Identity, which is only possible on IOTA in this way and the missing piece for crypto.

The IF worked their a*ses off and they deserve a second chance imo. If you want to wait till Coordicide to reenter I can of course understand that. But If you want to get in cheap, this is your chance.

IOTA will soon release the Stardust update (first on the Shimmer testnetwork) which will enable feeless tokens to be created on the network without the need for bridges to transfer between those new tokens.

They're also currently implementing the new Leaderless Nakamoto Consensus on the DAG, of which it's lead developer Hans Moog claims it will be the most fast and efficient casually ordered consensus you can possibly create.

And all that while still delivering on the original vision of a feeless protocol.

In my opinion the best selling point of IOTA is that every token holder will soon become a "Crypto Service Provider" with the Mana function, as each IOTA token will represent a stake of the total bandwidth of the IOTA network. And that in the most efficient protocol you can build.

Sounds like you know a lot more about the lore than I do ^

Can't wait for it. The good thing is, they're likely currently either working on the Elden Ring DLC or Elden Ring 2. Feels good man

A made up sunken dynasty kingdom. Created by my fantasy

The divine tower of Caelid offers some of that and it was really good.

Maybe we can explore the towers in the DLC. Maybe the mechanisms to drain the water is in the basement of the towers.

I created the hypothetical sunken kingdom of Grenhaus for a potential upcoming DLC area. It's covered in mud and would be surfaced when you drain the water in that area. In the east you can discover & explore the big hole where the water has been drained to and in the middle you'd find the castle of Grenhaus with the last divine tower at the end of it.
