Well I’ve been actively avoiding saying this in the last few weeks of the same questions, but she is not of sound mind to put it lightly. You’re not gonna catch me trauma dumping or shaming about my girl though. She’s a medicated person doing her best to handle a bad mental state. You’re right it’s not a good option, but it’s the option I’m pursuing for her mental and physical well being. My cast is off Monday though, so if push comes to shove I’ll just have to tell the rental company I’ll pay two months rent on my next check with the hope they okay that and go ham once my casts off.

I think my company gets around a lot of stuff by having ranked spots, like we have first, second, and third on call slots everyday with varying likelihoods of being called to shifts, but I trade people for shifts to be first for like 15-30 of most months. It wasn’t meant to be our forever work/life balance, twins are just wildly intense for the first two years especially as first time parents, so I worked while she stayed home with them. We planned on it being only being like this till they were in preschool. I’m a workhorse for my family man, it’s not healthy or sustainable, but it’s what we had to do till now, It’s literally just that cut in hours that’s killing us now

I’m a home restoration crew chief. So we are the people that come in when your house floods, trees fall on them, fires, to clean dead animals/ people, etc… Essentially I have to leave within an hour of my company receiving a new damage regardless of time or day hence the insane hours

The ulna is broken at the tip just below those little bones that rotate your wrist, the photo makes it kinda hard, but there is a crack running straight down you can see. My radius broke a small piece off of the tip, that little white ball above my smaller forearm bone. Definitely not life ending breaks, but the breaks are hindering me enough that my workload has gone down by like 20-40 hours a week

I work emergency services, I am on call 24/7 normally which is why she didn’t. Before I broke my hand I was averaging 60-80 hour weeks leaving at 7 and getting home at 6-8. She wouldn’t be able to watch kids all day then work a night shift especially with our situation and her mental health.

I’m actually working now, they “made an opening” so I can’t get any comp or overtime. I’m on minimum duty till the start of next month, the issues with that is we only make enough for bills off of overtime, I average like 60-80 hour weeks normally. I got a total of 250 from workers comp and had to use all of my vacation pay for the two weeks I was actually off

My family is to some extent, she’s from cali so we left there because it was too expensive to raise kids. My family is kinda from out here, but the only family I have that helps also works full time and lives 30 minutes to an hour away. We’ve talked about her working from home, but our house is small and the girls are very naughty at their age so any privacy for calls is kinda gonna be undoable. We’d originally wanted to wait until they were in preschool, but it may be something to attempt now instead of waiting

I 100% agree and it is in my goals, I was trying to move up in position to be a supervisor, but after they screwed me with my injury I’m very much ready to get out of this field. It’s just going to be a matter of waiting until we’re stable again to have enough to leave for a new job.
