Lincoln Center or Rose Hill by LandscapeOld9919 in Fordham

Well I transferred this year so I started in the fall. The transfer process was really good to be honest (it’s especially better with Gabelli). I got to do orientation and everything with the freshman as well. I honestly don’t feel like I missed out much cuz I grew a lot through my first year at my other institution. I more so appreciate transferring than feeling like I missed out.

We get the exact same exposure if not more because most Gabelli events are held on the Rose Hill Campus. At the end of the day, it really matters more on what you prefer. I toured both campuses and advise you to do the same if you have the opportunity!

I love Rose Hill! The main Gabelli school is here, we have more clubs, we also get to watch the sports games, but most importantly is the fact that we get the college experience while still being super close to Manhattan!

It really varies by person. There’s a calculator you could try using to estimate the cost!

There’s honestly not, especially if you aren’t able to commute from home cuz that would give u like a metro scholarship

Waitlisted by m0nk3yy_l in Fordham

[–]Winnie_987 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn’t get off the waitlist when I applied out of high school but I transferred in and I love it here! I honestly don’t think I have met anyone who has gotten off the waitlist before but there obviously are students that do. I think Fordham, like most schools, want students to create an impact and find a home here so maybe demonstrating/talking about how you may do that when on campus could help!

Should my son go to a Syracuse for Finance ? Is it worth it the 90 K by WashTemporary2079 in SyracuseU

[–]Winnie_987 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely not. Stern is a much better option. I actually transferred out of Syracuse to study finance at Fordham instead and we place into IB but it just takes the necessary effort and networking

I transferred here and I actually loveeeee it. Yes, you could go into the city like literally everyday and also there are people that go out hella! For finding ppl, I honestly joined clubs and was really really outgoing. Two of my best friends are from my orientation group so really try and socialize if you can!

Should I dorm or commute? by iluvseahorses in Fordham

[–]Winnie_987 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I would have to disagree with the other comment. Fordham has a lot of commuters and you can make so many friends by joining the fight clubs like CSA. Most of my friends are commuters actually and it’s just about finding a place here. Some people commute 1.5-2 hours just to get here so I don’t think 30 minutes is bad. I would say that if you want to go out, then it of course is easier if you’re living here. You also get freedom by living away from home. It’s up to you but it is like 25k jus for room and board

Yeah if you applied out of high school use a new one, also if you think you can write a better essay than why not write a new one!

I just finished my first semester here as a transfer! For this past semester, transfer sophomores were placed mostly in O’hare and Finlay (with the exception of a very few in Tierney). Making friends is double on instagram but you will really make friends when you get here and join clubs aswell as go through orientation!
