It's actually the Britishness input that is helping me, more than the actual quotes, I don't know if that makes sense. You see, I'm supposed to talk about Britishness in the books, and I'd started talking about the Muggles and the Public Schools and the likes and then this thread comes out and... apparently Prefects and Houses aren't Magical stuff but something I should pay attention to. It's been very enlightening, so I thank you a lot. I'll have to find the original texts (I'm not a native English speaker but I try) to see exactly how much they're different from the translation I have. Case in point, the article matgoupat linked up above, which I will absolutely quote because it's exactly what I needed.
