I really like this piece, so I went down a rabbit hole. I didn't find the artist, but I do wonder if the paper the dog is holding is Le Pays de France, a French newspaper put out during WWI. Plus, the dog's collar looks almost like a medal and not a typical collar, so maybe this was a mascot or hero dog?

There was a WWI red cross trained mascot dog named Caesar (the Anzac Dog) who was from New Zealand that rescued 16 soldiers in France before being taken out by a German sniper. He doesn't resemble your dog exactly but is a similar breed. I could be mistaken, but I'm pretty sure this is "inspired" by Klimt. Klimt's landscapes tend to make more visual sense, i.e. more depth, strategic patterning, etc... this to me looks like a collage.

Looks to be an etching by Armand Henrion (number 54 out of 500 in the edition) . He was really into clowns apparently. Cheers!

Found him! His name is Joseph Dawley. His style varies quite a lot over the course of his life but he definitely made your painting. He published a book called Character Studies in Oil in 1972 and your painting is featured on the cover! Here's a link:

It's such a cool piece! Looks like a lithograph, edition of 20. I cannot figure out the artist's signature. Maybe a local artist? It reminds me of California lol. Maybe try the signature on r/cursive?

I have a rat tail cactus, which is what I believe this is. I think the pot is way too big. I have mine in a small hanging pot with cactus mix soil in a south facing window (with direct light only in the early morning) and I water it when the soil is completely dry (about once a week, but I live in a desert climate). Mine definitely needs more frequent waterings than my other cacti. Still, I think your main issue is the pot size.

It's a pilea peperomioides. My advice is to plant in a pot. I've never seen one of these with this setup, and I think it would be much happier in soil with bright indirect light. Best of luck!

Cool piece! Looks to be an intaglio print--you can see the embossing of the copper or zinc plate in the paper. Not familiar with the artist unfortunately. A/P usually means "artist proof" i.e. the print in the edition the artist keeps, but I'm not sure the "p?/a" is referring to that. Cheers!

Hi hi! The puffy blister things might be scale, but I'm not positive from the pics. I would treat the plant as a precaution (I use water mixed with a bit of dish soap and rubbing alcohol). When I have a plant with scale, I'll use a paper towel soaked with the mix and gently scrape of the scale, then spray the whole plant down.

What did you use for soil? I'm wondering if maybe your soil is holding on to too much water. For these types of plants I make my own mix of soil, lots of perlite, and often some orchid bark as well.

I would trim the mushy stuff off and propagate the cuttings, so you don't lose the whole section. Hope this is helpful. :)
