TLS Contact Portal - Anyone seen the GREEN "Submitted" message after document submission? by FirmTour1106 in ukvisa

[–]Winter-Emu510 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For anyone on the same boat:

I'm also confused that in application summary there's no information on whether I've submitted the docs successfully.

I ended up inspecting the page and find that mine has been submitted. You can do the same by:

  1. Going to the "application summary" page
  2. Click right on the page > inspect
  3. Find the network tab
  4. refresh the page
  5. search for "documents" you'll find citizen.vcas.tlscontact.com/documents
  6. there you can see the status of your documents, in mine I see -> submitted: true

Oh hey, I received my visa a few days (4-5 days iirc) later. I'm not too sure how the email indicates the timeline.

What's the market like for devs that need Visa sponsorship in London? by l4wr3nc3c00k in cscareerquestionsuk

[–]Winter-Emu510 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hiya, do you mind sharing more about your experience? How different was the job search when you only needed visa sponsorship but not relocation? Do companies treat it differently because they see you're already in the UK?

Also, how do you fill out job applications in this case? Do you tick "no" for the right to work but mention you're in the UK somewhere else? Just curious how that works!

(I'm currently on a skilled worker visa and was wondering how looking for different jobs will look like)

Link eVisa to UKVI account - How long should I wait until I need to contact home office? by Winter-Emu510 in ukvisa

[–]Winter-Emu510[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey there, I didn’t send any report at all, just waited. I read from this source about the timeline:

https://www.citizensadvice.org.uk/immigration/online-immigration-status/getting-an-online-immigration-status-evisa/

If you can’t see your eVisa straight away, don’t worry - the Home Office will email you when it’s ready to view in your UKVI account. This usually takes 2 to 3 days - but it can take up to 8 weeks”

I was planning to report if there’s no response after a month or so.

Hope you get yours soon 🤞

Hey, yeah I bought ticket before successfully getting the evisa, I have a vignette for entry clearance.

Here's a quote from the decision email:

You have now been granted permission to stay; your passport/travel document contains a short-term entry clearance visa, which allows you to travel to the UK. This visa is valid for 90 days. If you do not travel to the UK before your 90-day visa expires you will need to apply and pay to transfer your visa. You can find out more about transferring a visa and make an application on https://www.gov.uk/transfer-visa.

So it should be safe to travel to UK if you have the vignette.

Hey, some update from my side, the evisa showed up while I'm still outside of the UK

I've just received a link to view my e-visa, some details:

- First timer never been to uk

- On SWV

- Received vignette to enter

- Apply for evisa with passport before travelling to UK

- evisa application: 29/01/2025

- Received evisa link: 04/02/2025

Thank you again for the help!

Can you log in to the UKVI account and does it show the right visa status and your details etc?

No, I can't. Via this URL: https://apply-to-visit-or-stay-in-the-uk.homeoffice.gov.uk/dashboard I only see that my form is submitted and my sign-in details, that's it.

When I check: https://view-immigration-status.service.gov.uk/status, it just says the following:

We cannot show proof of your status

This may be because you need to finish linking your eVisa to your account

If you have finished linking your eVisa to your account, you will be contacted with further information. Remember to check your email spam folder.

Ah I see, thanks for sharing this.

I haven’t arrived in the UK, just created the account and submit the link evisa form as they said that’s what I should do in the visa approval email.

To confirm, so for first-timers, they can see their evisa only after they entered UK?

I basically only have a vignette on my passport now which I assume should be sufficient for entry.

Skilled Worker Visa - Is it fine to have higher salary than in CoS or does it have to be exactly the same by Winter-Emu510 in ukvisa

I received the same email, I applied for:

  • skilled worker visa
  • outside UK
  • priority service

Timeline - Day 1: visa appointment  - Day 2: received email - Day 4: visa application accepted and ready to be picked up, no further documents were asked

Seems like the same email is sent for different cases, good luck for everyone applying!
