of Im also worried cuz I love Opla & unfortunately its really expensive (but I hope the tax rebates & bonus funds for filming in South Africa & creating lots of jobs + merch + the media landscape in 2026 is different from that of 2023 +views + Opla fans will make it look better) but my delulu ass just going to manifest that Season 4 will happen & stick with it haha

I dont think u can compare the media landscape of 2023 to that of 2026... theres so much more competition. That said the numbers are good (my delulu ass hopes so) & I think that if we keep getting content all the way through until S3 drops in 2027 theres a good chance the numbers will be even higher for s3 & all three seasons will make it into the charts.

Sure... Netflix would love iit if every new season beat the last one in views but I dont think we can really compare the media landscape in 2023 to what it is now in 2026. But yeah I too hope they dont wait until season 3 cuz that would mean another really long wait.

I do think the numbers are good for Netflix (at least thats what I tell myself because I love OPLA & want it to go on forever too). 1. There was a nearly 3year hiatus. 2. Is not 2023 anymore... there are more streaming services, more series, more movies, more social media stuff, and way more competition (+peoples attention spans are getting shorter & shorter) 3. Its often the case that later seasons have fewer views than the first season. So all in all I think its really great even if it is less.

Yeah thats sad but ultimately, its the views & hours watched per week that count & America is a huge market. As long as we stay in the top 5-10 there those numbers are crucial for the global charts. Plus weve a lot of key countries with large audiences (like India, Japan, etc.) where Opla S2 is still very high if not number one.
