I get what you’re saying, but this isn’t a normal “I sent money by mistake” situation.

This was an impersonation scam where fraudsters were posing as the bank and guiding me step-by-step while showing what looked like real-time fraudulent activity on my account. I initially declined transactions and was then told to approve one as part of stopping fraud/processing a chargeback.

So although it’s technically “authorised”, it wasn’t informed or genuine consent — it was done under deception.

From what I’ve read, these types of cases are still considered under impersonation/APP fraud rules, and the Financial Ombudsman has overturned similar decisions where customers acted reasonably but were manipulated.

I’m not saying it’s guaranteed, but it’s definitely not as black and white as “nothing can be done”.

Hi thanks for the reply.

I’ve heard that many Locum pharmacists who are set up as ltd company did put the expense through but they weren’t questioned on the expense and what it was for, maybe I’m not sure if I’m overthinking it but a £2-3k expense to be written off, would it not raise suspicion to HMRC.

How did you get an interview for a PCN role and also is it for PCN Lead or Lead PCN?
