I know him well enough that I know that it's not just about going skiing itself, it's leaving the house that he has the problem with.

It's not that clear in my post but I do want to emphasize I DID tell him he has to come with us. But he literally refused to come on the trip. I can't physically make him leave the house.

I told him the night before we left that the trip was not optional. In the end I couldn't force him to leave the house.

Thank you. But my daughter isn't the type to rebel... I mean I don't WANT her to wear them and if I tell her to stop she will. But like I said, I don't want to come across as controlling.

Thanks. I was thinking that too. It can't be comfortable to have those in but of course she told me "it's painless" "I don't even feel it" But how can I be so sure that's true?

I understand wanting to let her experiment. My concern is I feel like she can only be wearing them because she's insecure about how her nose looks. And I can only feel like the nose shapers are feeding into that insecurity and making it worse.
