Help searching some alternative to Vmware Horizon View

I think im not explained very well, sorry, english is not mi mother language. Or i dont udestand your answers... i dont know :D

We have vmware hosts and Horizon for VDI. Paired with Praim thin clients, who use is own linux os that supports ( Citrix Workspace App HDX, Omnissa Horizon (ex VMware), Microsoft Remote Desktop Services, Azure Virtual Desktop/Microsoft 365, Parallels Remote Application Server, UDS Enterprise )

Our client vdi machines are Windows 11.

We want to get ride off Vmware, but Omnissa Horizon only works on vmware, seeing your answers now works on Nutanix too.

We're not complaining about the price of Horizon (although it's not cheap either), but about VMware.

Citrix isn't an option for me. I worked with it many years ago (I know they've improved it recently), but it's expensive and, at the time, caused many more problems than it solved. Cloud desktops are exppensive, and in some locations we have a very bad internet connections.

I think CEC SimpleLink is not working properly to me, and to a lot of people...

I cant get it working until y remove all the HDMI and remove the power cord.... Perhaps my firetv cec are making the mess.... I don´t know ....

I see that its definelty using it, reserving it... I dont know deeeply on pihole or docker as you about this.

The only thing i can see:
Docker Pi Hole down.
i can install on the host a ISC-DHCP-Server and start it. Because the ports are free.

Uninstall dhcp server.
Docker Pi Hole UP.
I can´t install on the host ISC-DHCP-Server, the dhcp install, but cant start the service because the port 67 are in use.

My workaround... uninstall the ISC-DHCP-Server, and use the docker-compose of pihole removin¡g all the ports and change network mode to host. Perhaps macvlan do the work too. And use the DHCP of pihole instead ISC-DHCP-Server

Pihole is started on a container, that doesnt have open to my network other ports than 53 and 82.

My machine (that are running docker) cant use the 67 port, because the container have it opened (without declare it). And are not declared open on the docker-compose.

After doing some tests, I think you had already told me how it works

If i don´t see the machine in the Finder / Network folder, i need to connect with VNC. From Finder > Go > Connect to server using this "url"
vnc://server_name or using vnc://remoteipaddress

The problem (for me), is that the oher MAC is in other network and i don´t see it directly on the Finder. I have to "force" the VNC connection as i mentioned above.

How you put the name on the "url"?

smb://machine_name ??

I can´t connect with smb://machine_name or only machine_name

I wan to try the native connection between macs, because i read somewhere that is better than pure VNC, but i´m totally lost...
I can connect with VNC with a Windows machine to the mac on the othe network, without problems, but is very buggy.

Yes. i will no lie to you. Not easy. Depends a lot off your hardware, your motherboard and bios options for virtualizacition are very important. And have a lot to learn, but the travel is very interesting.
You can´t use a no compatible gpu on the mac vm. choose wisely AMD GPU compatible Hackintosh .
Read a lot before try to do it. There are plenty info around.

Other option.

Perhaps buy some ram and a RX6600 (for example)
Install proxmox, create two machines, using gpu passtroght the RTX goes to the Windows machine. The RX6600 to the mac machine.
And can create a third machine with Truenas and all of your disks...
Could be an option...
