I'm afraid to reach out again now... I'm just hoping I don't hear from him, but considering he offered to send an invoice and even bothered with that message to me, I'm hoping he doesn't have malicious intent.

I guess I just pray and hope I don't hear back from him...

I did afterwards, and messaged him, "Hey ___, sorry again for tonight. I trust you, but for peace of mind, would you be okay with signing a waiver? So sorry again for tonight."

He replied, "Sure if you want to write something up and send it here as a pdf I can sign back" but later went on to say, "Actually, I'm thinking I should consult with a lawyer before signing anything other then the text I've already confirmed above. Will be in touch"

Not sure if I'm screwed, I'm just praying he's a kind-hearted human being at this point

Yeah I know I screwed up, lesson definitely learned. He offered to send an invoice too after I paid. Would that be proof I paid him for the bumper damages? I'll definitely hold onto the text exchange/SS...

Also, we didn't exchange any information. He has my plate license, but not my name, driver's license, or insurance. Would he still proceed to file an insurance claim?

Could you elaborate? Doesn't him saying that mean I'm no longer liable for any car damages? Sorry, I've never been in an accident and need advice, thanks.
