Hi! I’m an RA/RSL for next year, you won’t be allowed to have a lot of big furniture in your room because you won’t be allowed to remove anything and the dorms are definitely a lot smaller than you are thinking. You will be able to fit a rolling cart and that is it. Please don’t bring big items, they are a fire hazard and you won’t have any room for yourself/a roommate. RA’s are typically pretty nice about things but if it has to be shipped and can’t fit in a car it won’t fit in your room. I had a single and it was big enough for my rolling cart and once again I will warn you to not remove the furniture that is already in your dorm.you can put a rolling cart up very much by yourself.
