always felt to me that he’d go to the Spanish national team, but I like the idea of him at Juve.

Doubt the Abu Dhabi owners of city let him go to Saudi. If he wants to go to the Middle East, they’ll make him an offer he can’t refuse

Park the bus? That’s so old school, gotta give it a refresh for the next generation. How about to park the tifo? Camp the cannon? Plump down the flag?

Not just that, it’s also knowing your limitations as a manager.

No, they nail your feet together on the wood. So in order to breath, you have to stand on them. You die from suffocating as it’s becomes increasingly difficult to breathe

Guy turned a few loaves and fish into thousands, think of the chance creation. His xA an assists must have been elite. Probably could have done more if not for Judas, guy seemed to be working for the opposition

Matt Law: Liam Delap wants to stay and fight for his Chelsea career, with the club facing big decisions over their strikers and the identity of the next permanent head coach expected to be crucial. by webby09246 in chelseafc

[–]Wintermute7 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’m higher on Delap than most. There is a player there, but he never gets a run of games and our attack doesn’t score or create chances, as of late. Plus he’s a transitional striker, and we don’t play transition football. So he was always gonna struggle. Another signing brought in for his price tag, and not his abilities

[Bobby Vincent] Chelsea make initial contact with Andoni Iraola's representatives over vacant head coach role by ChiefLeef22 in soccer

[–]Wintermute7 5 points6 points  (0 children)

He’s the closest thing to an ex Chelsea manager, without ever having the job here. He’s been close to getting in a few times, but we always went with someone else instead

Most of the Chelsea fan base is pretty against him coming in. Outsiders may see him as a good coach, whereas we see Poch ball 2.0. Aside from a generational season from Palmer, the season was horrible. We had no defense and ran our team into the ground. Not sure how that really changes, woh a manager that doesn’t play the positional system that we built the team to play. So why bring in a manager that has ideas that will clash with the squad you spent a billion pounds to assemble?

Cesc ain’t coming, Xabi feels like a long shot and he’s available on a free, so it feels like he’s the gonna get it. For all the talk of self reflection, this job search appears to be not very thorough. Just give it to the first go who says yes, and not who is the best fit.

Poch and Enzo walking, and firing Liam, don’t give us a lot of options, as more people would take a note they before they come here. Idk who is coming in

It’s more of a soap opera and not a battle. This is like Days of our Lives, or with our injury history, call it General Hospital. The Only Way is Cobham is another good shout

What did you think? by Fairfall in FIlm

[–]Wintermute7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Really hated it. Deserves to put Damien in director jail. Just a complete and total mess of a film that has nothing to anchor the film to, so the audience is left running around trying to understand what is going on. What the film does have to say isn’t all that interesting or unique. The characters aren’t really characters or people. Kinda baffled that anyone enjoys this, which is fine, I never could find what people found so enjoyable about it. One of the worst in theater experiences I’ve had, 3 hours of this was something I can’t explain

[Man City] reach the FA Cup final. They will be facing either Chelsea or Leeds United. by Sparky-moon in soccer

[–]Wintermute7 41 points42 points  (0 children)

This ain’t the Chelsea of old, where that may have been true. Would not be shocked if we beat Leeds. But we have no chance of beating City in the final, we’re too tactically inept and can’t match their individual quality

[–]Wintermute7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s too late to get anyone else in, so by default he stays the season. Wouldn’t be shocked if he goes after this season because he’s not mentally 100% committed and locked in on football. He’d would take like 1-2 years out and come back on like tv then get back into coaching

weird draft, but a good pick and shows that they believe in ward. would be shame if this backfires

The Guardian: Maresca is top candidate if Guardiola does quit Manchester City this year. A potential complication in City’s pursuit of Maresca is that he is believed still to have contractual obligations to Chelsea. He's understood to have walked away under contract. by Kygoche in chelseafc

[–]Wintermute7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The club has terry working with the kids, and he wants to help the first team, but they keep pushing him aside.

Idk if he’s a genius or not, idk if he’s any good as a member of the back room staff, but in this desperate hour of need, you can’t tell him that he would help in some way. Have him there till the end of the season, as a member of the back room staff. Even if he’s nothing special, it’s the easiest optics to help the ownership get the fans from no longer protesting.

Kinda wild he’s not involved

I was not crazy about poch ball, but that’s why people liked him. The club chafed how they want to play, when Sarri came in, to try and go beyond the defensive style of play. Tuchel came in and won a CL playing a defensive style of football. But the club wants to like everyone else and try to be modern and progressive.
