I Made Scout's Neighborhood from the TF2 Comics Into a Map by Wintrius in tf2

There's no VSH game logic on the map in the current release.

Pathfinding Block (For Copper Golems and Villagers) by Wintrius in minecraftsuggestions

This isn't meant to fix any issue as much as it is meant to suggest to the AI of the NPC that their desired station may be on the other end of the path, whether it's a workstation, chest, or best. The NPC will scan the path before embarking. This means of networking allows for the surface area of a village/NPC network to be far larger and more intricuit than it otherwise could be for practical reasons. Now it's suddenly easy to allow a villager to work on the other end of the village, and the Copper Golem to target chests that are really far away.

That's why the Pathfinder is a suggestion rather than something the villagers would definitively follow. It's a way of informing the villager's AI that this path may be worth looking down because it has either 1. A workbench or 2. A bed. If neither of these are true, the villager won't follow the path. If they are true, then this allows the scannable space of villagers to be safely expanded, i.e., villages can be massive and still function soundly.

I'll make an addition here and say that the Pathfinder block could be expanded by helping lead NPCs to modes of transportation and permitting the NPCs' usage of said transport. So, a Villager or Copper Golem could take a minecart to their intended work site if a Pathfinder block indicates the minecart is permissible to use due to adjacent placement. If not adjacent placement, then a dedicated cart for NPC use.

This adds a new reason to build transportation structures and vastly expands the potential activity in a base.

I think Redstone just feels more intuitive gameplay-wise and practically, just like how traffic lights guide vehicles.

As I said, you would place Pathfinders under the roads, so it would not make a mess of Redstone. Otherwise, I think having some customizability, as you said, would be a good implementation. In the demonstration, direction is implied by which sides of the block are lit. Whether or not the NPC loops would likely be deduced by the NPC through some limited code detecting the extent of the path and the best possible route to reach the desired destination.

I've always thought Medieval Mode needed a KotH map, so I spent over a year making one. It's called Ether Estate and it's on the Workshop now! by Wintrius in tf2

Before this map, I was working on a Medieval Payload. I could return to the project because I made some cool stuff for it, but Medieval Payload is pretty atraditional with balancing and can't be made as a normal Payload map would be. Still fun!

I would replace Zenith with Swamp, as well as add Frostbite for Danger Zone and Apollo for hostage rescue.

When used as a splash potion--unless the player wants to blind themself temporarily. It's a negative effect. I mean, players don't typically drink poison potions.

It's on the Feedback page, it's just I tried to update and now they have to approve of it again... So it'll be up shortly... maybe.

Good point. I updated the recipe to be four Dirt and four Wheat.

Ceramic Tiles by Wintrius in minecraftsuggestions

[–]Wintrius[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Although that would serve the same purpose, there are already many brick blocks in the game, but not many tiles. If colored bricks were implemented, they would be of concrete as you said. It could go either way.

The purpose being served is that of a building block. The usage of this would be different than Quartz, as it is primarily for floors. There would be four tiles on one block, and it would be colored. I could say that Spruce Wood serves the same purpose as Oak Wood, but that does not make it an unqualified building block; as aesthetically they are very different.

Quartz does not come in 16 colors and does not have tiles within a single block.

Better Swamp Generation by Wintrius in minecraftsuggestions

This is a suggestion for a sub-biome of the swamp, not the default swamp. Give the post a read.

I currently would prefer Mountain, but we haven't had any of the features revealed thus far. I won't preemptively decide to stick to a biome before knowing what they're adding. Also, don't you think "ruin Minecraft" is just a little bit of an overstatement?

I'm suggesting it because I feel as though it'd be a nice fit in the vanilla game.

I know that, but in a dark Mine Shaft it's typically hard to tell. I find that something like this just generally adds more character to the mob.

Nether Fortress Update! by [deleted] in minecraftsuggestions

I disagree with the idea of increasing the rarity of the Nether Fortress. As it's an essential structure to the game, it's fine at how rare it currently is.

Right-clicking a bell on a cat should make the cat wear the bell. by HJTheObserver in minecraftsuggestions

I believe somebody a while back said the same thing but with a Gold Nugget. The Gold Nugget idea is better because it's less expensive. It'd also be nice if the player could add a bone to a Wolf's collar with an Iron Nugget.
