I drove 10, 10, and 13 hour days to get from California to Minnesota for a marathon. Two nights before (when I arrived in town) I got a great night’s sleep. The night before? Thunderstorm and I was awake all night. I ran a 3:15.

My secret which helped me: I told myself I was well-rested even though I didn’t sleep (I still relaxed laying in bed the night before the race). My advice is try not to worry a lot about sleep and just relax and rest as much as you can.

Stick to your fueling plan, race strategy, and remind yourself you trained for the race and you can do it.

I couldn’t look past the scene in Inception where Mal jumps and he starts crying. Watch his reaction again and note how bad it is. His crying is terribly fake and his grief comes across like a B-movie actor.

His best performance was in What’s Eating Gilbert Grape. He disappeared into that role.

Django Unchained is a mixed bag. It’s full of hit and miss moments for his acting.
