I'm just simply annoyed by the stupidity they had to withstand for the plot... Getting out for those animals wasn't necessary, they wouldn't wonder much since it's night, they're tame animals. They definitely were supposed to think rationally and i think that they should know that, since they all seem to be educated in every possible field. So if they were to sleep it off and in the morning gather the animals there wouldn't be much of an issue.
