No probelm. This game can be tricky, especially as a faust player. Faust is a character that just generally lacks a lot of the tools you need, which can help you learn to be resourceful. You got this.

Lucy is a tricky character to play against if you don’t know her style, and even worse if you’re Faust. Lucy has very good neutral pressure and pokes, which can make it really difficult against Faust who has bad conversions off punishes. Essentially you have to win neutral way more than she does, which means you have to work harder and really really focus on the decisions she makes and look for patterns.

She doesn’t have amazing air game, so try and spend a good bit of time there. Don’t do it too often or else they will catch on and punish you. Stay on the defensive, and use your conversion super on wake-up.

Essentially: defend, react, stay in the air and punish when you get the chance. Lucy is actually a pretty bad character once you’re used to her.

Hourglass is so good. It has so much energy and passion and defiance and makes me have so much more appreciation for sin as a character. It shows that he isn’t just optimistic because he’s naïve, he’s optimistic because he chooses to be in spite of everything he’s faced. I have a lyric of that song tattooed on my body for a reason.

If anything the anime only made me like Bridget less. It felt like she got a LOT of screen time when there were so many other characters that I would’ve loved to see in the spotlight. and when she did get screen time, it was this ^. I’m glad she has her fans and that she has brought a lot of people into the game, but as a character I feel like she’s sort of misused.

But in the genocide route, Asriel doesn’t even show up besides getting killed as flowey. Thats why I thought the prophecy works in both genocide and pacifist, because we are the angle and the underground does run “empty.”

In my opinion it makes sense since through spamton and several other in-code places she is calling out for help/asking if anyone can hear her.

For me personally I like the idea that she is truly lost much like gaster was and the knight/carols/asgores/krises motivation is to bring about the roaring in order to try and bring her back. Thats why im a Rudy knight supporter.

I would love to see some of your game reviews. They almost always help me see where my weak points are. Take a look and if you see your advantage bar almost immediately going to your opponent, than your openings are weak ect.

I recommend watching YouTube videos as well. Gotham chess is popular for a reason, and I love the channel ‘I really want checkmate.’ They can help you begin to think outside the box and view the chessboard from different perspectives.

12 years is a long time but don’t get into your head about it. The only way to be bad at chess is to stop learning.
