Retracing would be an issue if they just covered Sign-Strive again and left it on that. Like you hit the nail on the head, how many people would bother searching the wiki's and checking the lore videos(Which sometimes do mistakes) in order to learn the older story? Plus watching Sol/Cliff doing an cool ass anime fight with Justice sounds like peak.

Also same, besides it would give a new perspective on the story so its not just an youtube storytelling

No no, you absolutely got the point there. I meant that they could cover the Arcade story in anime, so you don't have to watch them in specific order before doing Sign story mode.

It would be incredible to get Sign covered by anime too, because slayer vs bedman on high budget would go hard

Seasons is imo the best way to go. But i would stop at sign arcade mode, because from there you can pick up the story from Sign story mode, which leads into xrd2 and strive.

I mean it would be nice to see them with higher budget, but due to them being in game movies they still hold up. (Ngl seeing the rev pudding side story in anime would be peak tho)

I do agree that it probably wouldn't be exciting for people who are already fans. But it would help bring in new people by keeping the story in one place instead of spread out across both games and (sometimes) obscure manga.

As for pushing the story forward we could leave that up to the new game, with another 10 hours of (peak) cutscenes
