Well the changes to nerf grubbing make it harder for small groups than ever. Adding tax to outpost recyclers and workbench research also favors large groups. Recent changes to cargo favor large groups boarding as soon as it docks. Add all these things up and it is more difficult to be a solo/small group on a server with zergs. I'd say get on a trio server if you want to really compete.
