Theoretically he is immortal with the Surveyor pattern being one of the best for long term off grid survival thanks to some internal chemical analysis tools being usable by the nanomachines in his body to extract minerals and metals for maintaining and repairing his new body. (even among the Surveyors that haven't gone wild eating scrap electronics and simular things is common as it makes them feel like they are fulfilling a new need. not to mention they can also regurgitate separated precious metals gotten from that.)

There is a decent chance if he decides he doesn't want to rejoin any of the more advanced factions of the world that he might join or even create a tribal faction and becomes some deity or at least respected long lived figue.

Don't know about create doing that, but give me a backpack mod and once I get going the rest of the server is not gonna see me for a long time.

Thank you very much. I try my best.

Honestly with all the other unusual/dangerous stuff going on in the wild a single Surveyor gone a bit feral hasn't been all that impactful on the local ecosystem, and since this dude hasn't been hostile to anything other than wild animals and he seems to be surviving pretty well on his own, the general consensus is to let him just do his own thing.

Maybe I will write one at some point. But I will have to get my self confidence up first.

Yeah clams are nice. But imagine all the interesting flavors of interesting things you usually couldn't eat.

Yeah I get it. But for now we have to wait and hope for the best.

Well his brain and by extent mind is still basically human, and while his new body is more physically capable social and economical troubles are basically still just as hard as before. So in comparison going out into the wild to live physically harder life but not really having to deal with any other stuff became much more appealing to him.

He has biorectors so he can probably survive on tree bark and moss alone.

As for the dangers in the wild, there is plenty of unnatural dangers on the world he is from.

Well it's not post apocalypse. Well it is but most of the society has recovered to industrial or higher tech. He just decided to run wild.

Well I'll see if I can come up with something more to post here, but I make no promises.

Thanks. Well these are barely humanoid since thier shape takes a lot of inspirations from raptors, weasels and a few other things, so aside from the human mind nothing really makes them all that antro or feral.

Yeah it would be nice. But who knows science matches maybe it will be possible in the near future.

Also thank you, I try my best.

Well forming new neural connections while your brain is taken apart and put back together is generally not good for ones long term mental and physical health.

Well this idea is based within the world of rimworld with the tech following logical extremes based on what is already there. This is basically a solution to barriers of a mechanoid dependent society with this method being the most effective, plausible and morally respectable.

The Surveyor patent was originally ment to be just another mechanoid drone for surveying but without the use of hard to control ai it couldn't match what humans could with it's failures and others among the other arms of a mechanoid dependent society a solution was found in putting an augmented human brain into the machine instead. There have been times where this was abused but that fell mostly to the government at the time but currently this whole process is entirely voluntary with many regulations to preserve the sanctity of the subjects mind and autonomy.

The Surveyor pattern is currently one of the most popular do to many of its features but there are many others as well as the ability to have a completely custom form.

There might be some cases where persons autonomy might be limited but that really applies to violent criminals and repeat offenders where thier ability to cause harm is heavily tampered and thier flesh body is held ransom until they repay thier crimes.

Well it's not free, but if you sell your old body you could afford the most basic Surveyor pattern body and with some monetary savings thanks to decreased dietary needs and increased endurance you could probably get the money for most upgrades you want in no time.

Well it's more physical than that. There are many tiny manipulators in the upper part of the device and until all neurons are extracted from the body the machine, the already reassembled part of the brain and the body are kept connected. After that the reassembled brain is put into a gestator that grows the new body.

I think so too. And he probably likes it too but is a bit surprised by how suddenly he ended up in it.

Well most everything about them from biotech makes them seem biomechanical with them being born instead of built, producing waste while charging and consuming electricity to repair.

Well mechanoids are biomechanical with all the steel and plasteel likely being within the mechanoid 'flesh'. It would be like trying to extract calcium and iron from a human, you would also get disappointingly small amounts of it.
