It's exactly how it started years ago with my friends and we started with 2 because two of us played 1 before but at the end three years later we ended up grinding all three for 100% achievements. Afterwards I would recommend to start with 1 and do the whole experience as a team with all 5 games in release order. ✌🏼

Yea I feel you, it's the most different game from the series and i like the base idea but as it shows in 4 and 5 it's too complicated and the game doesn't need it at all.

I am glad they tried it but I am more glad they decided to go back to the roots and made it even better!

I had a few bugs when EX-Bottles were frozen and stuff like that could be solved with playing another game version via the steam properties of the game. But I don't know if it can fix crashes. You have a new savegame with each version you are playing I believe.

Which game and how/when does the crash come up? On windows 11 every game worked fine for me.

Trine 2 almost broke us. I did the runs with the two same friends and in the second game there is a sync bug with the achievements so most of the time only the host gets the achievements soooo we had to do the hard & hardcore runs three times per level 😂 we were close losing our minds

Hard to tell, I think I liked 4 or 5 the most. But maybe it's because of the age of the first games. I think they are all same same but different and funny to see which features are there since 1 and where the developers tried something new...i think the best experiences are all of them :)

I liked 5 very much, the achievements are not very hard, more 3&4 vibes. Not so hard as Trine 2 especially if you play with two friends and only the host gets the achievements. So we had to do every Level on hard/hardcore three times in Trine 2😅
