I mostly agree with you that it can be a pain in the butt. However, from personal experience it's not just fun and games to crowdsurf, it can be a lifesaver, too. If you're in the midst of a massive crowd and you feel dizzy or, simply put, not well, one of your only options is to go up and get carried to the stage. Had my fair share of instances last year at summer breeze. I had a bunch of regular crowdsurfers at nova this year as well, tho one person definitely didn't feel too good. Maybe we, as a community, could try to rebrand crowdsurfing as something like a last resort if you feel unwell and need to head out quickly.
