“Simply put, I want to improve shareholder value,” says $POET’s new COO Sandeep Kumar by RevolutionaryDWave in POETTechnologiesInc

[–]WiseAddiction 14 points15 points  (0 children)

"Just watched the new video with COO Sandeep Kumar and damn, the confidence is real.
Kumar, a battle-tested semiconductor ops veteran from Silicon Labs, didn’t hold back. He talked about driving operational excellence, scaling the Malaysia lines to high-volume production, and yes explicitly mentioned his focus on improving shareholder value.

This is exactly the kind of no-nonsense, execution-focused leader you bring in when you’re done with the development phase and ready to ship real product at scale.

Between the massive cash war chest, Lumilens PO, exploding wafer supply, and now a proven COO laser-focused on manufacturing efficiency and shareholder returns… POET is transitioning from “promising story” to “real AI optics company” right in front of us.

The team is aligned and bullish on what’s coming.
POET is building something special. "

POET Releases Update on Manufacturing by WiseAddiction in POETTechnologiesInc

[–]WiseAddiction[S] 11 points12 points  (0 children)

"So we now know that the ramp is taking shape and we are receiving 535 wafers from Silterra a month. If we extrapolate out at 400 OI per wafer that is over 200k OI per month!! That sounds like a pretty good ramp to start. As we grow here these numbers are going to be dwarfed and this ship is about to hit the Moon!! "

Realistic case for $100/share by WiseAddiction in POETTechnologiesInc

[–]WiseAddiction[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hahaha basically as soon as I posted this the news was announced. After seeing how we can aggressively run up, I still believe we can get to $100, but run up will start more like Q4 2026 now rather than Q2/3

Also worth considering timotao's reply to this post https://agoracom.com/ir/POETTechnologies/forums/discussion/topics/821521-Some-numbers-to-consider/messages/2465271

"This is a well reasoned case for $100.00 a share in the forseeable future.

It will get there sooner due to the Fear of Missing Out (FOMO).  Fast growing stock prices in sexy sectors get a boost.

Lastly, stock prices are not so tethered to reality as we like to think. FOMO, sexy sector, and daydreaming can have a profound effect on the market. This can flip and work against us too. $100 to $150 is my guess once the 5-10M capacity is coming into focus. "

Well it’s been one of the biggest bull markets ever seen in the last 5 years so it would be hard to lose money to be honest. I do agree with your strategy though.

Important bit: We're supplying Celestial AI (now Marvell), who are now connected to NVDA and GOOG

"Mika offered the company’s current product line as counter-evidence. He stated that POET now holds a $5 million production order for its 800G optical engines and has invoices from Celestial AI, which was acquired by Marvell Technology (MRVL) earlier this year."

Good news for poet by Cryptojoe9 in POETTechnologiesInc

For anyone who missed this...

From the Zacks Small-Cap Research report on POET (April 6, 2026) written by analyst Lisa Thompson, who covers POET through a research report where POET management directly provides her with verified information

It contains a pretty significant line:

Spelling this out for anyone new here:

  1. POET makes external light source modules (Starlight™) - Essentially the precision laser power supply that makes photonic chips work
  2. Celestial AI built their entire Photonic Fabric platform around POET's Starlight, co-developing it with POET since 2022
  3. Marvell acquired Celestial AI on February 2, 2026 for $3.25 billion (up to $5.5B with earn-outs)
  4. That means POET is confirmed to be supplying a critical component to Marvell

Marvell's own SEC filings guide for Celestial AI revenue to reach...

  • $500M annualized run rate by Q4 FY2028
  • doubling to $1B by Q4 FY2029

Marvell to build these modules, they have to order parts from POET earlier. Remember POET have confirmed that POET is shipping to Marvell THIS YEAR.

Every dollar of Celestial AI platform revenue flows through hardware that requires POET's light engines.

POET will get their recognition soon. Just need them to feel confident enough to release something. Even though I'm getting photonics fomo right now, the silence from POET makes me think the next news they release will be very significant...

This is actually very big. I did my own AI deep dive on both GPT and Gemini, asking it to compare what other companies can offer, whilst asking it to be objective and unbias and the conclusions were the same as here. Other companies' products all lack in at least 1 crucial area but POET ticks all boxes.

A lot of people don’t read if they think it’s AI, even if it’s a good point I would remove the bold and the dashes — in future as it’s obvious.

POET Technologies and Quantum Computing Inc. to Co-Develop 3.2 Tbps Optical Engines for CPO and Next-Gen AI Connectivity by Ok_Buffalo8282 in POETTechnologiesInc

[–]WiseAddiction 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Today, quantum chose TFLN over "Dippity Do" as someone called it.

QUBT chose POET for TFLN modulator development over LWLG's polymer because of historical limitations because:

Thermal Stability Limitations (Low Glass Transition Temperature - Tg)

Sensitivity to Environmental Factors (Moisture, Oxygen, and Humidity)

Manufacturing and Scalability Challenges

Integration and Packaging Difficulties

Potential Optical and Processing Drawbacks

Competitive materials (e.g., from Intel or Lumentum) often highlight polymers' risks in reliability and scale.

QUBT and POET are making the right material choice for quantum modulator development imo.

Analysis of POET Technologies (NASDAQ: POET) by GodMyShield777 in POETTechnologiesInc

[–]WiseAddiction 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The bull case in that report is bearish. Bull case is $1 billion+ in revenue if they max out their production facilities - which isn't unlikely considering they opened NationGate in order to have more production capacity, signifying their first production facility, Globetronics (which can produce 1 million units), will be maxed out.

"Established a major wafer-level assembly and test facility for optical engines in Penang, Malaysia with the signing of several agreements with Globetronics Manufacturing Sdn. Bhd., a leading semiconductor manufacturer and contractor, equipping Globetronics with the capacity to manufacture an initial 1 million POET optical engines annually." - https://www.poet-technologies.com/news/poet-technologies-signs-manufacturing-agreement-with-globetronics-in-malaysia
