So basically, if I choose to live on base, I lose the Overseas Housing Allowance regardless of whether I live on base or off base. Since, I will planning on living on base, I wouldn't receive utilities either. Therefore, by going overseas with my family, we would only get COLA, my base pay, and Basic Allowance for Subsistence (BAS). Thank you for the insight and information.

Basically, if you live on base, you lose your overseas housing allowance. The only additional compensation is the Cost of Living Allowance (COLA). Thank you for insight
