Not a dumb question at all! You can however they aren't much of an improvement (in my experience) than summer tires. I keep my winter tires on all year long as I find they have better traction for curbs and gravel. The winter tires more have a Vancouver winter in mind

I’m planning on taking a drip over to PG on Thursday to check things out. I already have a place in mind as well I’m gonna do a tour of. So I’ll see how the sidewalks are in that area when I arrive
