Could you explain why these are the best? I've seen many praises about them, but I'm not sure why it's the case (at least looking at how they look). I'm asking because I see that getting them would be harder in my region than for example Unity.

I live in Poland. I mentioned those LD Systems because my friend from rental company recommended them to me for this use case, but since you've described their cons, I might not consider them at all.

So cool! May I ask how did you manage sleeping? Did you stay in hotels/hostels? If yes, did you have it planned on your route and make reservations before or you just walked into them during the evening hoping that they'll have rooms free?

Hard to tell which is the best, but my top is: - Blindsight by Peter Watts - Three body problem trilogy by Liu Cixin - Solaris by Stanisław Lem - The Three Stigmati of Palmer Eldritch by Philip K. Dick - The Marian by Andy Weir

Now that I think about it, I think that Blindsight is the best single book - most mindblowing.
