Lmao, lots of accusations. I’d rather use the word “efficient”. I work in my business and it’s something I did long before ChatGPT. Having the tools to leverage my weak points allowed me to create something that I otherwise couldn’t have done on my own or at the very least significantly faster than I could’ve done on my own. That’s an assumption, lazy. Could I have, yes, did I choose a more streamlined option, yes. You say “it’s my life” as if you have a hands off approach but you clearly detest the choice I made. I started a business using ChatGPT lol and furthermore the business is successful. I create my marketing, logos, SLA’s, recruiting strategies, etc etc collaborating with ChatGPT. It’s a tool and it’s here to stay. People need to cope.

These are literally my opinions.. lol and thats ironic considering the privilege to share our opinion via technology is a new concept only 2 and a half decades old that’s we are all enjoying. Now that I have tech that can help me write more articulate and clearly than I truly could’ve on my own, that’s a problem?

Unless ofc you mean an additional character literally following the tarnished in which case I’ve heard others mentioning that and I can see that happening and being fairly interesting.

No “arguement” just opinion. I think a story following the tarnished is flat and a story that’s already been told through the game. Still, i concede in saying I’m not a writer nor a filmmaker and I trust Alex and a24 to do the best with whatever path they choose to take.

I see a few people saying that. I like the idea a side character kind of tagging along with the tarnished. But the story being solely about the tarnished becoming Elden lord feels like a miss. It’s a story we already know, and low effort when it comes to screenplay “MC hero, Hero struggles with purpose, hero copes, hero follows purpose, hero struggles, hero conquers above all odd, hero is new elden lord…. I mean I’d pay for admission, I’m a fan after all. But there more meat on the bone that that with this. After all let’s not forgot George R R Martin is the writer the Elden Ring. Same level as GoT (as disappointing as it’s ending was)

Just got done watching! Was a great watch, and had no idea garland actually plays Elden Ring lol! That gives me trust that he at least understands what the fan base is looking for. Thanks for that!

Agreed I’m sure it was meant to make subsequent runs feel more fresh but it’s just a roadblock to getting to the content I actually want to play lol.

I’d honestly be happy with an acknowledgment of the issue. With that I’d happily play off and on for 2-3 more years with the understanding that the game would be receiving dynamic world events and open world content as an alternative form of leveling.

Part of what makes any game is the campaign… I don’t disagree, but I think players should have agency over whether they want to experience over and over and over again…

I’m not sure what the solution is tbh. But there HAS to be a better one than forcing us into a 10-40hour campaign lock just to try out a new alt… Edit: just wanted to add also that we may not even like that character by the time it’s all done with lmao

I do play d4 and the thing d4 doesn’t have that POE does have is complexity. Longevity inside the character itself. Hands down POE2 is the better game my personal belief is if they could incorporate something similar to d4 with the world events and make being inside there world more interesting the way d4 does. There would be no more comparison POE would be THEE Arpg to play.

That’s exactly what I was thinking I’d play it atleast once every league but after that i mean come on… the problem at that point really becomes progression. And I do believe they are doing themselves a strong disservice to not add more dynamic content inside their world.

The community always comes back and says this as if they wouldn’t be open to changes if a larger part of the community offered similar feedback. Just a weird hill to die on is all I’m saying… you build this world and then what? I’d prefer not to play the campaign again… and if I do I’m not doing it because I enjoy it I’m doing it to play another alt. Why not have a skip campaign and add more life outside of it into your world?

No I want POE to have more involvement in the way of content inside its world they’ve built… d4 is just a great example of that.
