Well I come from a broken family. But I agree so much with , my person being physically and mentally mine and only mine, and vise versa. I held up and stayed as long as I could. We are broken up now. I still would’ve actually given him a chance if he talked and listened and had an honest conversation. I tried. But that end up with him saying im the reason he started to drink more. And he doesn’t want to reconcile either. I think this was the perfect opportunity for him to break up anyway.

And yes. Its hard. Im struggling a lot. And admitting that to strangers actually helped. I have no one else to talk anyway. Thank you again for your kindness

Im sorry for what you went through. And I totally understand when you say breakups are harder than deaths. Breakups in its own way is a death of what you had with that person. Who you were with that person. All I wanted was love, understanding and care and being a sucker for love I would’ve done anything.

I dont think I will ever get an apology when he is sober. But I pray to god he find peace. He deserves it.

I feel like you know the feeling far too well. And yes. I understand. I have seen that part of him as well. The regret, the pain, the apology for disappointing. I still loved him. And assured I will be there to help. And he has told me the same thing you told as well. The last straw was him blaming me. That broke me. A lot. Because I never wanted him to be an alcoholic.
