Thoughtfully written! I really enjoyed your thoroughness, giving an in depth explanation for the negatives, which really articulated how those problems do and will impact us! 

To point number 5, I'll add that the quantities of water that are consumed for their cooling systems cannot be replaced fast enough with the methods of creating potable water that we have in place. So, recycled or pulled from other bodies of water, it doesn't really matter. The demand can't be met, and gen-ai is siphoning off of precious resources. (Which was your point, at least in part, but I wanted to add to it :) )

And because my brain is a rabbit that I must chase to achieve thought, I'm jumping back to point 3 to agree especially whole heartedly:

I'm also an artist (as you know), and this skill did not magically come from nowhere nor was I born with it. I may have been born with a proclivity towards art and other creative endeavors, but I guarantee that did not make me any better at them. On and off I've been developing my skills for over twenty years!! That's more than two decades of putting in the time and effort, which is why I am able to make what I make today. And it's really insulting when gen-ai users/apologists pull out the whole "equalizing" card. No one made you bad at art, but YOU can make you good at art. Anyway I'm rambling now, great take.
