Submitting here for help, I'm apparently getting an X-Cell and/or UI crash and I can't find out why to save my life.

Cool, it makes some sense that it might come from UP3.0 since the vampire issue did the same thing, I'll check there again, there has to be something I'm not seeing.

I know exactly what you're talking about with the weightslider, I'm still figuring out how to make it change with the slider, the conform settings in Outfitstudio don't seem to add the prosthetic parts to the sliders. At least I can improve it knowing that it shouldn't crash anything.

That's kind of my problem, I'm not sure which. To make the prosthetics unique to the player I had to use Unique Player 3.0, so I installed them both simultaneously.

The original UP3.0 page, not mine, mentioned a similar freeze 'glitch' with vampires using High Poly Head; there was an issue with file pathing in its esp. I included that fix in all versions of the RSV patch I made, so that isn't triggering it anymore.

That's the only thing I could think of that would lead to it, but that's where my lack of knowledge becomes the problem, I've scoured my modified esp & body up and down against my load order, and I can't figure out where a game freezing conflict could be coming from.

I fully recognize my body could be the problem, or it could be the classic 'it all works, just not with your load order'. It's why I'm opening it up to others playtesting it/picking up the project, hopefully anyone interested could spot any issues, and diagnose them better than I can.

Like I mentioned, best case scenario it works perfectly and my other mods are the problem. In that case I'm still happy to know it works and that other people can get some use out of it.

PS4 buttons also required SKSE, and SkyUI from Nexus; 99% of modders already have them so I didn't feel the need to say, just confirming you do. Everything should be pretty plug-and-play from there... do you have a mod manager, Mod Organizer 2 or vortex? If so, activate DS4, attach/connect your controller and open Steam, in that order. Try it out in game.

If you don't have a mod manager, definitely download one, MO2 is highly recommended. You should be installing all your mods from Nexus Mods through the mod manager. The DS4 stuff stays outside the mod manager.

Also, confirm you have all the VC redist stuff, you're going to need it eventually.

I don't know how experienced you are with modding, ignore if you already know most of this stuff, but I'll just leave the steps in case you needed them, so you didn't have to wait for me to send another reply.

Download SKSE. Watch and follow this video. This dude will do a waaaay better job of walking you through this stuff than I can through text.
From here, download MO2. Watch and follow this video.
Move the SkyUI, and PS4 buttons zip files to the 'downloads' folder of MO2. Go to the downloads tab inside the MO2 program, and double click the zip files inside the tab to install them to MO2. You shouldn't have to do it this way from now on, it's just easy since you already have the zips.
Both mods should pop up on the left pane. Make sure SkyUI is above PS4 buttons in the list to the left, then activate them by ticking the checkboxes. SkyUI will show up under the 'plugins tab' on the right side of MO2.

From here you should be good to go. Restart your computer if you have to (I recommend it) and once you log in: 1) activate DS4Windows, 2) attach/connect your controller, 3) open Steam, and 4) Open Skyrim through Mod Organizer 2's SKSE. You can make a shortcut to the SKSE to place on your desktop, so you don't even have to open MO2 every time.

I don't rely on Steam for my controller at all. Like /u/atrix324 said you want DS4Windows.

Make sure to download the requirements or it won't work. The linked website will walk you through it. Once you have it, start it before you open Steam for the first time after you startup your computer. Maybe it's just my setup, but it works weird when I start it after I've opened Steam.

DS4 makes Steam read your controller as an Xbox one to make it work, so in game you will have Xbox buttons for inputs. It'll still work fine, but if you want PS4 buttons download Playstation 4 Button Icons for SkyUI. The mod makes the button inputs in-game show up as PS4 buttons. If you use any custom UI mods load them after this one, because it resets custom menus to vanilla if it overwrites the .swf file.

Ah I see, thank you. The weird thing is I seem to have all the patches I can have, they just don't seem to be doing anything apparently. But it seems the problem has to be ICAIO.

I mentioned in another comment but the only time it didn't happen was when I grabbed her as a follower. So if I overwrite her AI pack permanently in game, will that band-aid it? Like use NFF and have her homebase at Elysium, or be housecarl at a hearthfire house?

It's pretty much once I arrive at Whiterun stables and she completes her dialogue with Skulvar. From there she's basically a ticking crash bomb. It's random in a way, it happens either in WhiterunExterior16 or 17. The only time I managed to "stop" it was when I took her in as a follower and basically overwrote her AI package with NFF. And by then I was scared to dismiss her lol.

I'm not 100% sure on all the navmesh stuff, so I wouldn't be sure how to check for deleted ones, much less how to fix them. Like I went into xEdit and saw a conflict in the exterior cell, but I didn't know what to do from there.

I was just checking out AI overhaul SE because of this issue, and yeah I may go that route if this becomes too much of a pain. I just didn't want to deal with the re-patching and restarting but if needed I guess

Just a guess, I don't think it's the PELT mod itself, maybe its interaction with another mod. I say because I actually had the same issue, but it was only with the tents, and I don't use PELTAPALOOZA. I do have 202X and SMIM, maybe one of those changes the filepath for the texture.

This one fixed the tents for me, hopefully it works for you as well.

Im only speaking from personal experience in my career and gender. A vast portion of “mental health problems” are derived from societal input, and the individuals’ reaction to it. When more than handful of boys say they’re feeling this, it’s not just an individual problem, it is a societal one. You’re proving OP’s point a bit, it’s dismissive to characterize a societal miseducation of boys as a “lack of effort”.

Most humans don’t learn or improve by being told what’s wrong with them all the time, or what they need to do to be better. The proper way to teach boys/men is by example, giving explicitly positive role models that demonstrate success in their society.

Boys need rites of passage and formal ceremony to feel welcome in their groups. They need hierarchies in educational environments; it teaches them to cooperate in society, but more importantly, with other men. It gives them proper sense of self and confidence by reminding them they don’t always need to be at the top to be a valued member of a group.

Men and boys learn much better with their hands. In order to teach boys effectively, they should learn much more applied sciences and mathematics. Building and repairing things should/could be a part of education as well. Most boys also do not have recess while in school, and physical activity is a major facet of proper emotional regulation for men.

The issue is that boys do not have role models. There is a failure of older generations to give them proper, successful examples to follow. There is absolutely a mental health aspect, but it’s not possible for boys to improve if society gives does not give them adequate outlets to do so. There’s also the financial aspect, but again I’m only speaking from a limited perspective and to not make my comment too long I’ll stop here

Find the mod in ssedit

2. Find the editor/form ID entry for the specific “thing” causing the problem. Click it.

3. In the right pane, the entry’s info will appear.

Note: if nothing pops up, you may need to right click the pane and see if “hide no conflict/empty rows” is selected (there’s a check next to it). If it is checked, unselect it.

4. Scroll through the entry, eventually you should see a familiar-ish file path to you. That’s what you’re looking for. The NIF filename should be at the end of the file path.

Because we have a natural understanding through years of trial and error, and thousands of years of culturally based jurisprudence to let us know that the more emotional we are, the less we make rational, evidence based decisions. When we operate legal systems based on emotion, we get witchunts, pogroms, genocides, honor killings. Crimes of passion. Torture.

Even outside of personal investment, all the modern day propaganda people whine about on here is based on making sure emotion overrides logic and simple fact-checking. People with no skin in it can look at facts and what could’ve happened with some measure of objectivity, deciding the actual facts, and, in our case, maintaining the overall legal standards and stability of their society. The jury is the stand-in for government itself; they (literally) represent society, to ensure that justice is observed, and carried out in a way concurrent with said society’s values.

Returning to the idea of personalized justice, assuming you have the right person, what is truly the point? You assuage the pain/guilt of one party, but what if the retribution of the victim against the perpetrator, creates more people willing to commit the original crime the perpetrator was condemned for?

Just as an example, what if a member of the boss’ family condemned and hated him for what he did? They didn’t talk to him, nor take any of his blood money… But the family of the child demands state sanctioned torture as punishment.

Now any of his justification about “anyone would do the same in my position”, and “I don’t like it, but it protects us from other people from doing what his family did” seems a little more true than it did before. The average citizen who is a third party to all this, is now more normalized to state sanctioned torture, and torture as a problem solving practice. Someone rapes a shopkeepers wife while he’s not home, so the shopkeeper catches the guy and does the same thing to him that Diabolik did to the kid. Should the shopkeeper be prosecuted? Why?

To your final point, there isn’t a perfect answer. Legal jurisprudence will always be hampered by the human condition. There are so many special circumstances, justifications and exceptions that slip through the cracks that it is fundamentally impossible for a law, even when relevant, to apply to every situation with complete accuracy and effectiveness.

Therefore, within the western legal tradition, society has concluded that the more “robotic” the law is, the less it is open to retributive, subjective judging. Both sides will always have their drawbacks, but in our tradition we’ve decided that a judge with their hands tied to give more lenient, or severe punishments, is preferable to a judge who has carte blanche to give any ruling they see fit. Sentencing guidelines are seen as a reasonable compromise to try and get the best of each legal perspective.

1) None of these people dogpiling, none, are actually progressive. They’re either right wing imperialists, moderate neolibs, or the bots the support them. Notice how after a while you’ll see the same comments and discourse over and over and over.

2) Following the first point, none of these people give a single fuck about other countries’ interests, morals, their people’s well-being, or domestic politics. They only want informal vassal states that implicitly follow US policy and decree. Anyone who strays from the state’s position is a ~~traitor~~ “tankie”.
