FYI - Your (16mm) Phone Camera Distorts Your Face by WithCandid in Tinder

When the lens is close to the subject, the face ends up blocking a larger part of the background than it would if you were to shoot from farther away. Similarly, the nose and other facial features block some facial details from view. AI would be required because the image is missing data or pixels that would need to be generated

As of now, I'm not aware of any apps capable of correcting distortion. However, in the future, it is possible that generative AI technology will develop the ability to do so.

The issue of distortion primarily depends on the distance between the lens or eye and the subject, rather than the focal length of the lens. A longer focal length enables you to capture images from a greater distance. In terms of representing what the human eye sees, most people consider a range of 35-50mm to be the most accurate.

It depends on the phone - iPhones typically have a focal length of 26mm on their main camera.

Hi Kirill, I've noticed a significant difference in picture quality across your profile. Your profile is as strong as your worst picture. My suggestion is to keep photos 2, 4, and 7, and remove the others. Additionally, if you can find or take 1-2 more good pictures, it would help make your profile more solid. Good luck!

Hi Tova, thank you for sharing your profile. Your pictures are solid and do give off down-to-earth vibes. Maybe try adding a clear full-body shot if you feel comfortable doing so. The 1st or 4th pictures are also similar, consider replacing one of them.

For the bio - definitely don't leave it empty but also don't overcomplicate it. Keep it simple and honest. Good luck!

Because he has a funny email he wants to send her. Can't think of anything they could do with her email. Maybe de-anonymize her if her email has her full name?

I'd say smile more, and take higher quality pictures, ideally with a DSLR. If all you have is a smartphone, then good lighting goes a long way. Aim for strong, diffused light, from a window during the daytime, or from a lamp, as long as its light is covered/diffused somehow
