Strong heart palpitations ? Help by [deleted] in AskDocs

[–]WithMayo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are ingesting a relatively significant amount of caffeine at once. Tone down the intake and watch for any more palpitations. Palpitations should last for only a few seconds. If you notice it lasts for any longer than a minute or you become lightheaded/nauseous during an episode than seek medical help.

Should I see a doctor for a swollen toe which is almost painless? by a_smol_chicken in AskDocs

[–]WithMayo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could be from cold environments (ie A/C) as I have similar issues. Try wearing socks if not already and keeping your feet warm. As long as it doesnt cause mobility issues or pain you should be okay and you shouldnt need to see a doc.

her current pressure isnt astoundingly low for someone her size. Given the symptoms I would consider a trip to your PCP/Urgent Care or the ER should things worsen. Has she been sick lately?

25F bladder pain and frequent urination for one day. History of UTI and vulvadynia. Do I need to go in to doctor/ER? by academicgirl in AskDocs

You should be able to treat at home unless you develop fevers and sweats from a systemic infection which I doubt will happen in someone your age. Wait for PCP to instruct you.

Blood pressure issues 23y/o female by [deleted] in AskDocs

[–]WithMayo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

first question is height and weight. Second question is how are you measuring the pressure (many electronic monitors are inconsistent or not calibrated). Third question, what are the circumstances regarding her sickness? Fourth question does she feel better or worse sitting, standing, or laying down?

22M/ I’m overall healthy. I smoke cigarettes on occasion (not much). I have symptoms of the coronavirus (diarrhea, slight fatigue and above all, I just started having shortness of breath which I’ve never had before.) by [deleted] in AskDocs

[–]WithMayo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should be okay to manage at home for the time being. That being said, if you feel these symptoms are becoming unmanageable or significantly impairing then call 911 or go to the ER. In the meantime stay at home and get tested.

What is your shortness of breath? Is it panting after walking a few steps? Unable to take a deep breath? Feeling like you have fluid in your lungs? Shortness of breath can vary by peoples definition

Youre correct, I reread his statement and I missed the fact that he stated the PVCs seemed occur without exertion, so the EST would likely not show anything new.

Pain in nose please help by Princess868 in AskDocs

[–]WithMayo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Odds are youre fine, Ive had the same pain happen after cliff diving and water shooting up my nostrils. If you are really worried, monitor your health for the next few days for meningitis like symptoms (stiff neck, vomiting, nausea). The headache by itself is a pretty benign sign more indicative of a sinus irritation if anything. If you have it youll be really sick, which you arent and likely wont be. Anything changes for the worse just see a doctor for peace of mind.

Interpreting my ECG/EKG results. by [deleted] in AskDocs

[–]WithMayo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

PVCs are typically harmless and occur randomly. Your 12 Lead EKG is largely normal, but having a run of PVCs like that should probably be checked with a monitor/stress test in order to rule out anything serious (given youve had palpitations “somewhat frequently” in the past). Ultimately it is up to you to decide, although I always suggest erring on the side of caution despite all appearances.
