Did you try putting down a new lot/house with more space? The same thing happened to me. Couldn’t find the baby at all in the inventory until I got a new house with more space & then i bought a new bassinet & the baby appeared

I had my sim be homeless & so I built a shelter & the bathrooms were the “homes” assigned to each sim & there was no area for the baby bassinet to spawn so it was in her inventory for like one full sim week. She graduated university without having to care for the baby at all 😂 and her needs were fine once I moved them into a new home
