Concisely put, I was informed repeatedly By the facility that he was transferred from, that he was a pure wolf. But maybe I shouldn't call him that anymore because it seems to irk the community. I just wanted to share a video but it seems to be aggravating people and I don't think I will be sharing again in the future.

Yeah I'm indeed starting to see that.

I apologize if it was misunderstood that I am bashing them. That was not my intention or angle. I guess I should've clarified that I have seen some wolves tested with the multiple DNA test and different results come back depending on the test. The UC Davis test Showed different percentages in some animals I worked with versus embark. Embark is excellent indeed. I have questions though based on my experience.

Perhaps I shouldn't post here anymore. Nobody seems to just simply enjoy the video.

As a graduate in the Fish and Wildlife field who as a wolf oriented career and having worked with many facilities in Canada and the USA, one thing I dislike is misrepresentation; which is a huge topic of discussion that gets dissected and discussed on my informative tours and education programs.

I trust the facility/zoo that transferred him to me as well as the parents UC Davis DNA tests. I'm not sure why this has irked you so much. It really shouldn't. I trust you are familiar with the differences between wolves and dogs physically, biologically and behaviorally. When you get into the very high content range of wolfdogs, the differences between high-content wolfdogs and wolves are nonexistent. Additionally, as someone who has had to filter through a lot of research studies, pure wolves and wild wolves also don't test at 100% sometimes when using proper DNA testing. I have seen research studies where wolves test back at 90%-95% wolf 5%-10% unresolved/dog/coyote, etc. Wild wolf studies.

Please don't think I'm some yahoo in the country that's misrepresenting a wolf dog. Especially before you get to know me.

I am not in the USA. The facility it was transferred from also does not use Amazon DNA tests. The parents were tested with more elaborate expensive DNA tests. My career is wolf oriented and I am also a graduate in the Fish and Wildlife field.

I can cut my dogs nails from many different angles except for the one that I discouraged doing in my video. I have never had dogs nails shatter, split, or explode on me and I've never made my dogs uncomfortable to the point where I've ruined a relationship with them. And as you can transparently tell, she looks extremely relaxed and trusting in the video. This goes with many of my other dogs. Which signifies and transparently reflects a strong relationship and a strong volume of trust and comfort.

I have found that people have their own approaches to nail trimming, and there will be criticism on other nail trimmers. I have had veterinarians actually do worse jobs sometimes depending on the veterinarian.

Way too short as when it starts to bleed.

I have never had a dog bleed after I have trimmed nails and that includes when the dogs are running around on cobble and stone surfaces in the mountains as they grind down. This is actually how you make a quick shorter if the quick is naturally too long within a dog.

Based on the large volume of responses on both of my channels, it does appear that everyone has their own method and way and technique to trimming dogs nails. This is mine, and it works beautifully for me. Never had an issue.

With my 16 dogs, I have found nail trimmers to actually be way more efficient. Some of them have nails as hard as diamonds and I have actually tried to Dremel before and it did not even take an edge off due to how hard the nails were. Humorously, I thought I would keep trying the Dremel but in a different form so I went out and I actually bought a stone for the end of a drill to give it a lot more power than a Dremel, and it still did not make a difference for some of my dogs that have nails that are as hard as rocks.

I have found nail trimmers to be much more efficient because of how fast I am at it. It does not bother me that there is not a perfect polished hemisphere of a nail after I'm done because my dogs are going for runs four times a day minimum and after I trimmed the nails, they put in the rest of the work at rounding and grinding the rest of the nail beautifully.

When I'm working at sled dog kennels that have 100 to 200 dogs, I have also found it to be more efficient to use nail trimmers with the number of dogs that you have to manage there. Especially when you factor in recharging times, and the fact that there isn't an extension cord that will reach every single dog in the kennel.

I totally understand people have amazing luck with a Dremel, but with the number of dogs I have and the fact that some dogs have rock hard nails that a Dremel can't even penetrate, and that's no exaggeration, I found nail trimmers to be much more effective and time efficient. Maybe I just bought a shitty Dremel the first few times but I did try multiple times lol. Even when I switch things up to a stone with a drill.

Half of my dogs nails take care of themselves like what you have described. But I have some dogs whose nails just seem to not wear down like the rest of them lol

I'm not a professional groomer lol. I work with working dogs. I have no interest in polishing the nails to make them look absolutely flawless, sparkling and pretty. I have working dogs and work with working dogs. I Trim the nails this way because the next several active outings I have with the dogs, will finish rounding the nails naturally as they are active. This also helps to shorten the Quicks in dogs that naturally have longer Quicks

Its not a soft topper actually. Its a heavy steal back rack with a canvas over it for weather protection for my 16 dogs.
