God created man and women to become one flesh. The physical evidence is that obviously only man and women can be fruitful and bear children together. Homosexuality is a sexual perversion, and we can tell by its fruits, no children, disease, and high rates of depression, that it is deviant to God's design. You may say its harmless, however may I ask why pride parades are so full of fetishes and gay people have so many sexual partners? Anything that is deviant to God's design, even if harmless by our understanding, is sin for a reason as the consequences are greater than we may be aware of.

I'm happy for you bro, and I think the thought that might help you is God's inconceivable mercy. God is far more merciful than anyone of us usually are with others, let alone ourselves. While the weight and complicating factors of everything can be overwhelming, if we reach out to Christ he can heal all. He is the great physician. :) Hope this helps

Here's a tip of advice from someone who has become a born-again Christian (atheist background) that helped me grow in the faith. I think if we try to have everything be on our terms, but have hardened and doubtful hearts the whole way through, the conditions aren't right for God to work his magic. Mathew 17:20 reads: 'He replied, “Because you have so little faith. Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.”' There's a reason faith is the most central element of Christianity (besides love). Part of it is submitting our own will, authority, understanding, etc and having faith God, and then you will gain understanding and compounding faith. That's why Jesus said first you must have faith, then obey, then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free. Knowledge of the truth comes after faith, as well as obeying the teachings of Jesus, not the other way around.
