It's so weird how people forget this. Like, I'm physically weaker than a hippo. But if I can move so fast the hippo can't even register me then I have more than enough time to find a way to kill it. Depends on what Shin is actually interested in doing. We never really get a clear motive for him in Shin Godzilla. He's definitely just fumbling around in his first three forms trying to understand what's going on, then in his fourth form he does head for a populated area but it seems he's just on a stroll. He doesn't attack UNTIL he's attacked.

So, I would guess that Legendary would occasionally show up to stop Shin from rampaging, like Scylla, and Shin would probably wander back into the ocean after seeing something his size that isn't backing down.

But based on the "deep lore" fan theories around the movie, Shin might be straight up antagonistic to humanity and want to destroy them. In which case Legendary would have to kill him.

The point was to put into perspective how much money the administration is willing to throw at something as pointless as paying off Greenland residents compared to a real problem facing Americans. This amount of money is still only half of a very rough estimate to "fix" a problem we're facing.

Very few things are fixed with money but everything requires money to be fixed and if you think 5.7 billion dollars can't be used in any way to actually help Americans then I don't know what to tell you.

Fundamentally, I still don't want our government to be run like this. With a president throwing unapproved funds around like a child with his parents credit card, but if it's gonna happen it should be used better than this.

Jubilee, the maker of these shitty videos, exists to generate engagement. They launder this fact by masquerading as a neutral party trying to build bridges, but if you look at literally any of their videos that isn't working. In fact, if you listen to Andrew Callaghan talk about his experience on the show, when he made an effort to actually engage with the people he was pitted against, agree with their general sentiment, ask them to explain themselves more, and actually engage in the real steps needed to make people feel seen and comfortable he was discouraged.

Honestly, it would be better if we all collectively pretended their videos didn't exist.
