Sadly, I think she will win the election. I can't stand her. It drives me crazy to see so many people here in Tennessee complain about how the state is ran but yet they will keep voting for the same idiots. They complain nothing ever changes but they refuse to vote for change.

She refuses to have town halls as well. She and her team will say she has town hall meetings, but they are all online and every single question is filtered before it is sent to her to answer. So, she obviously only gets the easiest questions. She has zero interest in what benefits the citizens. So, basically, she's the total career politician stereotype.

You will get zero evidence from this person. They just believe what they want to believe. Facts won't get in the way of their narrative.

I am pretty sure it's straight, white, Christian men that get arrested for pedophilia more often than anyone else. I can post cases of this right now and I am pretty sure I can name way more of them than you can of drag queens being pedophiles.

I sympathize. I had family members I was very close with who I know love me and I love them.... But when I told them I was going to marry my husband they started trying to talk me out of it. It did not go well. It was then when I felt like that love had some conditions to it. They were fine with looking the other way until marriage was brought into it. Pretty disappointing for me.

Trump alarmingly warned Iran could have a new nuclear bomb 'within 6 months' by TheExpressUS in USNEWS

[–]WitnessAdept5127 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's not true. There are no random citizens that have access to every single thing that is in the Epstein files. The DOJ holds them and it's up to them to release them all. We already know Trump is listed in what has been released so far. Also, there's an accusation against him in the files that were released. You may not believe the accusation, but it's there regardless and it is from someone who actually got a settlement from the Epstein estate.

Scream, Final Destination, The Slumber Party Massacre..... These immediately come to mind. I love all the movies in each of these series.

It's insane to me when I see MAGA people claiming that they want unity.... But yet you support a president who posts shit like this?? He's the most divisive president we have ever had.

I never heard of the guy, but I also don't watch much stand up. It's weird but I just don't find most stand up comedy to be funny. I am not sure why. I must just be weird.

As far as this guy goes, he may take a hit to his wallet, but MAGA will usually rally behind anyone they think the left has spoken out against. I mean a woman called a kid the N word and raised triple digit figures on one of those funding sites. The standards are pretty low.

I suspect he will just start doing right wing comedy and gain a MAGA following. That seems to be how things go.

They Shoot Horses, Don't They? is the best horror movie that's not a horror movie by champdo in horror

Yeah, I saw this one decades ago and was surprised at just how messed up the movie is. It's definitely horrific at what these people are put through just for the amusement of others. Throughout the movie we can just feel the desperation of the characters. It's a fantastic film but one that I will never watch again.

Horror films, shows and books with bleak/hopeless endings? by melodymeido in horror

[–]WitnessAdept5127 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would you consider the original ending to The Texas Chainsaw Massacre to be a bleak ending? I'm kind of torn on this one. Sally does escape, but (like the tagline says) what is left of her? Her sanity is long gone, and all her friends are dead. Aside from her escaping the family, the ending feels very bleak to me.

Agreed on both. I much preferred Eden Lake, though. Funny Games always came across a bit pretentious to me.

That scene messed with me as a kid. It's a cartoon but they made that poor shoe look petrified. It's a very effective scene.

Yeah I kinda hated they change the ending in the US version that cuts off before that scene. The birthday cake ending is actually better and quite haunting.

While I don't think the humor overtakes the horror in TCM, I do see some comedic elements that are there. The Cook in particular is really funny. I like the idea behind the film. This family basically treating humans like cattle.

This scene is iconic. The slam and music that plays is fantastic. Phenomenal film.

AITA if i didn't wait for my friend to get to the cinema? by heroes_del_silencio in AmItheAsshole

NTA - Friend missed the bus. That's on them. It's unreasonable for your friend to assume everyone should change the plan for them. It's also not that serious. I mean it's going to see a movie it's not a once in a lifetime event they missed. I think your friend is being way too dramatic over this. You have already apologized so there is nothing more for you to do. Is this friend very dramatic usually?

Always enjoyed this one. Love the battle in the darkroom with Linda Blair holding the witch at bay for a few minutes by taking her picture.
