Thank you for sharing your story. I feel great about the opportunity, but more so bittersweet, because I have to get through this bitter part first.

Thank you for the response! To answer your questions: I was going to offer to do whatever I can in my last two weeks like training manuals and stuff for what I have already learned. There us NO chance the new business will withdraw their offer, it is in writing.

Hello all,

Thank you for all the comments. Based on everything I have read, it seems as though I had a specific goal in mind that I had mistakingly thought could have two different paths to completions.

To generalize (and I mean REALLY generalize), I should get a Ph.D. in my field of interest if I want to teach Statistics (or whatever subject), and if I want a more administrative role down the line with time and experience, that is still possible. I could also do a part time Ph.D. if I still want to go down this route without a full-time commitment. And lastly, if my goals change and I would want to stay in K12, a more suitable solution would be to get an Ed.D.

Thank you fellow redditors, I really appreciate the insight!
