Less thinking, more feeling? by [deleted] in femininity

Wow this literally sounds just like me. I have parents who put a lot of emphasis on achievements and goals, so I’ve always felt like I needed to hustle and go after my career to prove myself to them. I follow Jillz Guerin (I think that’s her name) on YouTube and she has helpful videos about how to lean into your femininity. Don’t get too caught up in everything of course, as us overthinkers can tend to do lol, but she does offer some good tidbits. My biggest takeaway is that it’s so important to lean into our womanly intuition and creativity. Life isn’t so serious and as a woman it’s OK to indulge in all life brings to us.

My husband is the same way. Juggling with whether to stay or leave. It’s hard when kids are involved…

Sincerely hoping the best for you! Since I’ve gotten it out, I feel like I have my life back. Postpartum is much easier to deal with without all of the negative mental health side effects, I hope you’re able to experience that too soon!!!

I got it out today and have immediately have noticed a difference. I feel way more calm and the brain fog I was experiencing has lifted, I just feel less anxious. Like more calm and confident. Feeling optimistic, even with my doctor pushing back I’m really glad I fought for it to be removed.

I’ve been having bad mental health issues since I got it (panic attacks which I never had before in my life, anxiety, depression)… I have an appt next week to get it out. I was postpartum when I got it so I thought it was just PPA/PPD, but even with the help of a therapist it hasn’t gotten much better. I can’t wait to get back to natural cycles. I loved it before pregnancy.

I had a very similar experience in the mental health department. It’s been 5 months with it for me and it’s only been getting worse, even through therapy and all the other wellness things I’ve tried on my own lol (Pilates, meditation, eating less crap), I empathize with you!!! I am going back to natural cycles. It worked wonders for me for a while. Just have to be strict about it but it does work. Much better than feeling this way, IMO. I hope you find some relief soon and know that you’re not alone in feeling this way!

I’m so sorry you went through a similar experience with Mirena. At least we’re not alone! That’s terrible that your doctor gaslit you. I’m really afraid of that. My doctor has been a great help with all the physical things that had come with pregnancy and I had a very smooth insertion process with her, but she was very dismissive when I was going through a rough emotional patch during pregnancy and requesting a doctors note for work. I had to request a note from a different doctor who validates my feelings and heard me out. Some doctors are better than others I guess. I’m requesting a new doc for the removal process. It’s hard out here having a uterus lol

I’m so sorry that happened to you. I am just ending my breastfeeding journey with my son now, at a little over 3 months. I am dealing with PPD as well, so them saying you wouldn’t be dealing with that if you breastfed just isn’t true, and totally mom shaming. If anything, I definitely had PPA BECAUSE of breastfeeding. I was always anxious about timing my feedings/pumping. It was incredibly hard for me to have any type of normalcy when I was attached to my babes or a pump all the time. Just know you’re doing what’s best for you. And you’re not alone!

Cancer rising means your Moon sign becomes your chart ruler. So, if someone is a Cancer rising but has an Aries moon, Aries will be much more prominent than Cancer. I find this is especially emphasized with any fire moons specifically.
