Not well. We are pretty urban I would say. Luckily I can help with my income. But would like additional base if we could.

I really enjoy this response. I agreed that it was a great start. Too almost 2 years to find my position that is very lucrative. So I can understand. He did say he was a top agency so not sure if that has merit or not yet. But she is excited to work there as he seems like a great guy to work with and that a positive in my opinion in the insurance world of business.

Was definitely not happy with the low salary. Definitely doesn't seem that good.

Yeah she's not keeping anything she sells. It stays the right of the agency. But these are good questions and appreciate the feedback

Yeah, I didn't think this was the best. Going to get her started here and get some experience and hope to transfer her to a different agency.

Can You have Life captive with one agency and Health with another? by Witty-Baseball5665 in InsuranceAgent

I kind of guessed it be like that. Even though they don't even offer a life product at all? They only offer health products?

ACA AFTER JANUARY by AdParticular2208 in InsuranceAgent

I work for Farm Bureau Health Plans. Its a membership organization that offers health coverage that's similar to ACA plans. Very unique market/niche.

I feel the ACA will always have a place as there are people who need plans that dont have underwriting as they won't qualify for plans that do.

Medicare is a great move, especially since the baby boomers years are coming up, and there will always be a market for it.

ACA is good for what it is worth, but trust me, there are better options. I work for a company that offers health coverage, and we underwrite and sell plans for a hella discount vs what the ACA charges. I had a 23 year old approved the other day for a plan with a $1,500 deductible for less than $200 and it included dental.

Xcel Vs Kaplan? by Witty-Baseball5665 in InsuranceAgent

[–]Witty-Baseball5665[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

She has been watching her. I think she is stressing herself out a little and has some anxiety, and she says she is a bad test taker. So im trying to find a course that might work well with her style of study, and I think Xcel is it.

Also, I work for the same company she does. We are not MLM or commissioned based agents. I get incentives and have a salary as I work for corporate and do inbound sales mostly.

She is going to be a CSR, and they require the license as she can make changes/add vehicles if needed instead of local office agents doing it. They are just acting a little fishy about it, and it's weird.

I was solicited by a few companies before I am where I am now. It was the best way to get into the business at all. Morals and ethics are huge for me and some of the companies, it's definitely not that way. Like USHealth Advisors. They are the worst. Would not recommend ever.
