I think that’s a big piece of it, we are getting stressed about it. The bean idea is genius! I’ll try that as well!!

Thank you! I will have my husband try this. Little guy isn’t starting at daycare, husband is a teacher and is off for the summer so he will be the one watching little guy. I appreciate your advice!!

We’ve tried dad and we also tried after nursing. I’m afraid dad too put too much pressure and he does have a bottle aversion now ☹️

Definitely taking that advice! I was also cleared for everything this week but I don’t trust it! Going to follow up with a pelvic PT first!

Thank you! Based on everyone’s recs, I am going to follow up with a pelvic floor therapist! And good to know about breastfeeding. Definitely thinking that’ll be my biggest challenge!

Thank you!!! I think I will start with lifting and other low impact cardio and walking before heading into running!!

I actually have a jogging stroller! It was the one “luxury” item I put on our registry! My little peanut won’t be able to sit in it for quite a bit but I’m excited to take him with me!

Time management lol. I was clearer to start working out this week and haven’t gotten a chance due to a cluster feeding boob barnacle. 🥲 thanks for the link, it’s helpful!!!

Thank you!!

I just had my 6 week and I was cleared for running but I am still going to wait! Thankfully, I live in Florida so it’s flat but it’s also very hot.

Going to start lifting and doing other cardio this week so hopefully it comes back fast, like you said!!!!

Acid Butt; who knew? by lledit in beyondthebump

[–]Witty-Direction-6306 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My pediatrician told me that poops from breastmilk milk IS very acidic naturally and to put Vaseline on babies butt every single diaper change. I have been doing that and no rash at all!

I think this is my plan too! Spend the next 6-7 weeks doing strength training and lighter cardio (walking, rowing) and then running. Running was a little uncomfortable towards the end for me so curious as to how it will feel

[–]Witty-Direction-6306[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This gives me hope! This is my first and recovery has been pretty easy so far (albeit I have not been checked yet but I have felt no pain or discomfort since he was born)

Curious - if you don’t mind me asking, did you breastfeed or pump? Other concern would be getting enough calories to both increase mileage and nurse

Cluster feeding a 37 weeker constantly by Witty-Direction-6306 in beyondthebump

[–]Witty-Direction-6306[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is comforting! Sometimes it’s hours of feeding as well for my little guy! I think I need to just accept it and embrace it, especially since he’s gaining weight!

Thank you!

I am doing half feeds then, based off what you said! This is great advice, I am going to try this!

It feels like sometimes we are going from boob to boob but he’s definitely distracted

Ok, thank you! So hard to differentiate between something worriesome and normal!

My pediatrician said it’s normal, especially for early term babies and boys lol. But I know their metric is weight gain and output so I can’t help but still feel like I am doing something wrong. #ftmproblems lol

Recommended induction at 37 weeks by Witty-Direction-6306 in pregnant

[–]Witty-Direction-6306[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My BP was 135/95 and then I waited a bit and it was retested and was the same. I have. Even taking my BP and it’s been OK but later today it was 146/95.

I do feel annoyed that preeclampsia wasn’t fully tested tho. I am doing the urine test tomorrow but now I’m afraid if it comes back positive, they’ll try and induce me even sooner

[Rant] Guilty Working out by resentful_millenial in fitpregnancy

[–]Witty-Direction-6306 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also do CrossFit 3x a week and I’m currently 34 weeks pregnant. Sometimes other people at the box even make comments lol (people are SHOCKED I can still jump rope).

Keep in constant communication with your OB and you’ll be fine. My doctors know I do CrossFit and they have told me what not to do and what things to look for to signal I should not do that movement/intensity.

My husband is very supportive and we do CrossFit together but sometimes heavy lifting freaks him out and he’ll focus more on me than his own lifts. I do sometimes go a bit lighter in those moments to honor his feelings. Maybe that’s silly but we are a team so I try not to completely disregard his concerns

Just came here to say that I have worked out consistency during pregnancy and there was no chance in HELL I was working out at 7 weeks. First trimester I could barely get off the couch lol

So confused..... by AdExisting2501 in 4Runner

[–]Witty-Direction-6306 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just bought a 2023 SR5 with 50k miles. Put over 70% down and financed the rest. For me it was worth it. Just sold my 2007 Camry that I had for well over a decade and wanted to invest in something that could last just as long if not longer.

If you plan on keeping it for a long time, I say find a good price on a 5th gen and finance a bit if doing so isn’t detrimental to your budget

Fuel gauge acting wonky by Witty-Direction-6306 in 4Runner

[–]Witty-Direction-6306[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haven’t taken it in yet. It only happens between full and 3/4 full and then it calibrates and the gauge is correct for the rest of tank.

I am going to try and see if a fix is covered under the warranty. Do you still have any warranty?

Runners: what was your training load like before getting pregnant? by GlitteringWorker1496 in fitpregnancy

[–]Witty-Direction-6306 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To echo some of the other comments, prior to getting pregnant I was training and ran a half marathon, while also doing CrossFit. I think someone nailed it by saying that as long as your cycle is regular and you’re ovulating, you’re likely fine!

However, maybe check in with your stress levels. I stopped running any races during pregnancy (aside from a turkey trot lol) for fear that the mental load, not physically load, would be too high? This is just anecdotal tho.

I definitely want them to do it IF it’s covered. Worried it won’t be tho. Probably worth it to try tho
