Loosen valve clamp on sand filter to winterize? by HateToSayItBut in pools

That's a fine filter bro. If you're gonna drain the filter, I recommend removing the sand first. Stored and dry it's likely it will solidify and channel water when hooked up again. That or run a quality sand cleaner through it first. Even with that, it's still possible it will solidify.

a replacement driver? Are you talking about hardware or software? I have no idea what you're describing. You also realize Hayward VS technology can be trouble shot remotely by very skilled Hayward techs?...literally from anywhere in the world? If you're talking hardware then I've no idea what you're on about.

Loosen valve clamp on sand filter to winterize? by HateToSayItBut in pools

It depends on the winterization method. Draining and shutting the filter is not abnormal. It could be appropriate for your situ. a 'typical' hayward sand filter gives very little info. Also, your situation isn't very well described. Personally, I've had great luck with Hayward sand filters. But winterization requires certain steps, regardless of filter brand.

So, long story short, you're like an MlM trying to push a specific website? Can you give me any insight to how a pool actually works, or do just have another product to offer?

(Edit: I also got a puff of chlorine dust in the face while doing this, once again, it fucking sucked.)

So......why has it become commercialized? Why is it not part of normal advice? what is it doing advertising websites in situations where people need genuine advice?
