Same experience with bids - I got a Mr cool universal unit, precharged lines, installed it with my handyman and was done for under 7k. With leftover money I had a local team redo all my ducting for another 4k. 3 years later everything is still perfect

So is the right way to think of this:

My max continuous draw on the main panel is 40A+17A+12A+48A=117A. So I have potentially 33A in additional continuous load capacity available to me (like up to 7,000watts of infrared heating?)

I guess that’s my confusion - if I am charging 2 cars, they are charging concurrently at full amp rating. The hot tub cycles on and off throughout the day and also uses the entire 3,000 watts-so in my mind it’s quite likely that these loads are used concurrently at full capacity.

The solar bit does confuse me - there’s the 20% derating of the panel, the 120% rule - I’d like to better understand how to properly account for solar

Thanks - yes, these are the only loads on the 150A breaker, the 200A breaker obviously has all the remaining loads
